Exit PD with a huge ass file at about 90% because I'm not stupid enough to keep my rig running overnight with the surprise power outages. Boot it, the file is gone. Add the hash back. 0.3%. Fuck.
Microsoft bombed AV-Test.org's tests for the second time. Cnet [reviews.cnet.com] recommended that users switch from Security Essentials to another antivirus.
What, so my PC is vulnerable to malware if I continue to use Security Essentials? Looks like I can put this to use then:
Pulled several all-nighters trying to do much easier tasks. Like setting up my first wifi connection on Windows XP.
So, after a long chain of funny disasters, or something similar. I'll use W7 to run my Linux Virtual Machines, and my Linux distro to run my Windows Server 2008 Virtual Machines.

Who the fuck is using MSE as their antivirus anyway? Plenty of free and much better AVS out there and plenty of funny scripts ranging from mere text files with known malicious signatures to slightly tougher stuff to put them to the test. Mostly harmless, just make sure sneezing on your computer isn't enough to kill it.
Also, if you Google that shit, download it from popular security networks unless you want to grab an actual virus.
EDIT : Ninja'd by ESeion due to slow-typing as usual. Gotta quote.
EDIT 2 : Should be common sense, but if you're going to test AVS with "fake" malware, don't get them from the official website. They'll obviously respond to their own signatures. And if they don't, congratulations on finding the best AVS ever.

Haha, would be better to have it than nothing at all haha. I haven't really bothered installing an av since I got this laptop, but then I came across the article some weeks ago and didn't really feel like installing it Malwarebytes is still on it though. Haven't really seen any problems myself

If I look at how many modern Apple products (beside their stationary computers) are using technology that's been available for 5+ years and fail at it, while make it sound like an entirely new world innovation; I'm not surprised. Also: the wire/card slots are probably just replaced by a somewhat functional wireless system, that's technically still in its beta form.
Also also: I guess I'll keep on having a problem liking wireless systems 'till we get a more sustainable wireless power supply.
No USB, no camera, no SD card slot, no PC card, no RJ45/RJ11, no video output, no headphone plug. Monaural only. Final extortion.
Recent devices apparently include some of that shit. However, they still require Apple-approved components - most of which are not included - and computers to provide actual optimal functionality and limit sudden and painful hair loss guarantee an enjoyable experience.

<The more you know>I would add penis disfunction, but then again Apple's website is full of viagra </The more you know>
Just because this "grandma" watched a few Samsung Galaxy advertisements on the TV doesn't mean she now knows everything about smartphones. I still want that Nokia Lumia.
So they gave me 204 € as grant for college material, for a "medium grade" formation cycle (Which is the one I'm coursing). Next year I'll do Web Applications Development, which is a "superior grade". I wonder how much I'll fetch, considering I get the grant. And considering out of six subjects I've got four 100% one 90% and one 80%, it's a 95% aritmethic average, but weighted average should be closer to 100%.
*rubs hands* Jewgolds!

Fuckity fuck fucking shit. Maybe I don't want to run it as a full peering setup, maybe I want some downstream connections with crappy links to connect to a central service and then pick up the transport gateway. Oh, but it doesn't support that. That's an "enterprise" solution. Fuck fuck land of fuctardia.
