I think I'll try Linux Mint 14 on my notebook just for teh lulz.

Why Mint? I used to like Ubuntu, then I tried Debian.

This is what you get when one programmer fantasizes way too much about Hannah Montana in his spare time... Hey, is there an Ashey Tisdale Linux by any chance? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

They're so magical. That little metal grate in the window of your microwave oven is the only thing from letting those highly energetic electromagnetic waves melt your face off when you peer into its orifice.
#mal has a fetish for Faraday cages and that shit sounded highly erotic.

I didn't even know microwave ovens had an inside out Faraday cage. My router still shits bricks at maximum power regardless of the frequency I pick.
QUOTE(Microwave oven rocket SCIENCE! @ Google)
Percy Spencer, an American self-taught engineer from Howland, Maine, worked at the time with Raytheon. He was working on an active radar set when he noticed that a Mr. Goodbar he had in his pocket started to melt - the radar had melted his chocolate bar with microwaves. The first food to be deliberately cooked with Spencer's microwave was popcorn, and the second was an egg, which exploded in the face of one of the experimenters.
Way to waste a Mr. Goodbar and a fine egg.

Its not really an inside out cage. Basically, a Faraday cage is just a container made of a wire mesh fine enough to absorb certain wavelengths on the electromagnetic spectrum. Whether the source of the EMW is from inside or outside the box is irrelevant.

I know, right? Mr. Goodbars are like the best part of those those Hershey mini variety packs you so often see around Halloween time.

The Aakash 2 tablet was supposedly made in India for under $50 but recently it was revealed to be made in China, hurting India's national pride. Maybe if DataWind (the company behind the Aakash project) moves all their operations from Canada to China, the controversy would go away. Maybe...

That tablet's a piece of shit, anyway. I read about it in the IEEE publications and it they are completely underwhelming.

I should have gone with Objective C when I had the chance back in the early 90s. Dammit.
"It' about angry IT workers launching themselves at the managers trying to kill them in a cascade of destruction."
"Could work, but IT workers and managers?"
"Ok, how about birds and pigs?"
"Sounds like a winner."
