Use either uTorrent 2.0.4 or 2.2.1, there's really no point in upgrading to the bloated new versions

It seems uTorrent has a very big issue in it's latest version - the "adware toolbar" will still install itself despite being declined by the user during installation process. Maybe it's time to migrate to qBittorrent.

I'm still running old-ass version that doesn't support magnets and UTP.

WTF, resuming download from the beginning due to "data corruption" where "data in the connection doesn't match with data downloaded earlier"... Can't tell if it's IDM, the server or worse, my PC that fucked up? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

According to the changelog of Opera Web Browser 12.10 Build 1647 RC1:

Server packet handling issue. Even when the server does support resuming, it starts from scratch and the transfer ends up in a terrible (and obvious) checksum error. I've had that happen with DTM on a few different sites.

Your best bet is a FTP mirror with resume support if available.

this is why I switched to Bittorrent. u-torrent got all fucked up and it would't let me download anything. I searched thirty minutes on the web to find out how to fix it, but I just gave up. BT is just like, or maybe even better than u-torrent..

Bittorrent is still around?
I thought the guy who wrote the program had to drop further development/changes due to financial issues. I think that was 'bout the time I changed to Azureus Vuze.

Microsoft, Google, Mozilla, WHATWG, W3C are at odds with each other on web standards. HTML5 is going nowhere.

Update: The same goes to HTTP 2.0 protocol as well.

And somewhere: People from Adobe are rubbing their hands together and laughing as Flash is safe for a while longer.

MS Excel 2013 Beta sometimes hanged (CPU>50%) for no reason. It's a good thing it could recover my previous edits after a force restart.

What a creative SPAM mail: A direct message from Sultan of Brunei himself. Do they really think I'm a fool? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

No. They don't want people who aren't fools taking up their time, so they phrase their emails in such a way that only a fool would be fooled. A lot of those still purport to be sent from Nigeria for the same reason.

If MS had made up their their mind on not making any more service packs for Win7, I can always do it myself. A DIY Service Pack.
