QUOTE(cmdct @ Dec 29 2010, 01:27) I'm not sure if the title can be changed in this board, but in case it's possible, click edit button in the first post, then you should be able to change Topic Title/Description.
Edit: Feature only for gold stars and above members, in case someone ask.
So obvious... So many times I've just read past it, Thanks a million mate!

QUOTE(Tearlow @ Dec 28 2010, 19:23) By all means, You're more then welcome too! I was about to break things an hour ago or so- Until I saw I just spelled a variable wrong *Sigh* I'd gladly accept it! As it stands right now, I'd be honored to have you maintain it (Although, there might not be much left to add...) just make sure to add something that it is your work and not mine!
I'll spiff it up and throw a link up. QUOTE(Tearlow @ Dec 28 2010, 19:23) There has been a slight change of plan concerning "offset" parameter. For now I will leave it and instead only use "tz" which is obviously short for Time Zone. Simply use +5 to increase by 5 and -5 to decrease by 5.
Is the tz parameter already implemented? And you could just as easily change offset to mean the GMT+- instead of making a new parameter.

Wicked stuff! I'll be looking forward to it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Shout though if you want me to host it. Well, my bad here. Yes- "tz" has been in there for some time now. Only that it works as intended now and should be ready for use. But looking at it now, I did mix up on the parameters. "offset" should be offset for GMT+/- and "tz" the abbreviation for that timezone It just hit me now as well *Sigh* It has it's disadvantages doing these sort of things during the night... So.. Just to be on the sure side, In a minute I will change the two to rid of this mess I made. EDIT: It is now done. This post has been edited by Tearlow: Dec 29 2010, 03:40

Quick bump, I'm still much interested in what people actually want- If theres even anything left? Cmal is working on a GUI for the configuration so you wont have to deal with Tedious(?) URL coding.
What's left on my part is further optimizations- I know it can be done. Template support is there already, I just need to make more of them.
In other news not related to this but in the same field. I was thinking of making a "Item Card generator" might be useless in the end but might be a fun project. Essentially it will take stats from a item and generate a image much like Diablo (That would obviously highlight various values depending if they're high or not). We'll see how that goes as well ^^

Just having everything working as intended is good enough for me.

Would this be the case? So far I've never encountered anything wrong. In the beginning though- There was masses with the time calculation *Chuckles* I know that at least two checks are missing (Checking if Variables is String or Integers) which should have been there to begin with... Fairly sure I added that in the testing version though which should be replacing current version soon enough.

Went ahead and put up the applet [ www.starfleetplatoon.com] here. I'll add template support once that comes out. It also only has very basic error-checking, but its pretty hard to screw up. If its necessary, I'll add more robust checks in a later version. It also currently doesn't deal with DST, will have to do that later.

Now that is some pure gold mate! That will surely ease the End-user quite a bit! I will try to clear out the first post and move the more technical stuff to the reserved one instead. Shame we cannot use iFrames in the forum else I'd include it right here (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Most admit, this gave me a somewhat boost in motivation working some more on this ^^

Hmm.. Cmal, that host of yours seems somewhat unstable, Three times only today at different hours it has been down. Mind if I set up an alternative? I might not keep it updated to yours but at least It's something in case ^^

I've seen people using this in their threads, so I guess don't have to ask if they find it useful. Moved and stickied. I'll probably change the name too, so everyone knows what it is. OP has permission to improve on my efforts in that department.

@Sayo Aisaka: Cheers mate for the sticky! As for the name-- by the looks you went ahead and changed it- looks good enough for me though so I will leave it there for now.
...And in other news, I've decided that I will release the Transparency version of the template. It does seem to hold up fairly well. Just remember, IE ( < 8.0 ) might not fully support Transparency in older versions. There might be a solution for this though that I'm looking into.

Hmm, I'm trying to use the applet, but when I go to generate the timer, the offset seems to be 10 hours too early. I live in -5 GMT (EST) and Just trying to set it to January 30 2011 (tomorrow) at 17:00 (currently it is 16:30), and the timer shows that it is currently 14 hours 30 minutes until the timer ends.

The way the offset is calculated is probably mucked up. The end time is set to UTC, so if you're plugging in 17, you're getting 17-5. It should be 17+5 to get UTC 22, which is EST 17. Looks like the offset parameter works kinda funky, so I'll work on recoding the applet to make it work more intuitively. For now, just use Jan 30 22:00 UTC as your end settings, which will achieve what you're trying to do. Edit: Fixed. I think. This post has been edited by cmal: Jan 30 2011, 00:20

having problems with the timer. when I use the calender to set the close day for an auction the day is listed as zero in the code. it did that for march 7,8,9 but when it was 10 it worked.
the code EH-Cdwn.png?&month=3&day=0&year=2011&hour=01&minute=00
day=0 when it should be 8

Okay, for some reason, 8 and 9 parses as 0 while everything else works. I've fudged it by using parseFloat() instead of parseInt(), which seems to work for some reason. I've uploaded the fix. Take note that I've changed the address to make linking simpler. You only need to navigate to the root (aka index.html) instead of TimerApp.html.

QUOTE(cmal @ Mar 5 2011, 06:07) Okay, for some reason, 8 and 9 parses as 0 while everything else works. Perhaps the parser is assumming that '08' is an octal base number? In C/C++ , numbers starting with 0x are hexadecimal, numbers starting with 0 are octal, number starting with other digits are decimal. See for example here on numerical bases: [ www.cplusplus.com] http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/hex/
