I have a bad feeling about this. QUOTE(4EverLost @ Dec 23 2011, 02:46) It seems the exp you get from doing A Dance with Dragons has changed a lot. The first time I did them I gained 12.5 mil, now I only get 7.4 mil. No big deal on normal but it will make a big difference on BT-IWBTH. 184 mil vs 312 mil And If I want to do them on IWBTH I want an ass load of exp & 3 Legendary items.
Not gonna happen. I've already done it three times on IWBTH and once on BT and all the drops were shit. Now that I look back, it was pretty idiotic of me to even clear it more than once on IWBTH.

Yeah it did, but Tenboro said nothing was wrong with it. I'm guessing we were probably getting more EXP than was intended which got fixed in the later patches.

that is messed up. I would have gone from ~320 mil to ~185 mil if I don't have anything on the toplists exp.

So... I just got an easter egg from the item shop. Judging that the easter event is over... should I just immediately use it at the shrine?

I wonder if people would love it or hate it if all non-bleed weapon's proc have 3 variables, like bleed weapons do: Proc Chance, Proc Duration, and Proc Strength (in this case: bleed dmg) ... Maybe something like this: Penetrated Armor : 45-55% physical mitigation reduction (now = 50%) ... 40-60% may be fine too, but it seem a bit too much to me. Stun : Not quite sure about this one... The obvious would be the variation in dmg bonus, but it seem like a rather uninspired way to do it IMO. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Ether Theft : 50-150% amount of mana leech. (now = 100%) This is just for example; I have no desires to request this or something like it (that's why I post it here). I'm more interested about whether or not people would like more "variable" to their gear because it could be a double-edge sword... The more pronounce example would be the addition of Eth weapons and specific mitigation-laden custom mobs. ... I saw mage request for eth staffs to be more powerful somehow, which I think is a fair request and agreed with his idea. However, such change could make "good" staffs more difficult to get. Mage are now blessed with the fact that their high-end weapon are relatively easy to get. You sure you want to be in the same situation as melee, where the situation is so extreme any non-eth weapons automatically sucks? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) PS. This post is brought to you by pure boredom! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) This post has been edited by buktore: Dec 23 2011, 16:03

I've never actually seen one, it either doesn't or it's gotta be damn rare...

Yes and Yes! It's starting to become some urban legends now. I have some ridiculous connections with these things though. This post has been edited by varst: Dec 23 2011, 17:06

I saw a very good Shield gauntlet of Barrier in bazaar a few days ago. Its lv is more than me, has >12 block and other stats were nice too ... But I cannot save it from the long arm of Snowflakes the Troll-Master, who voraciously devoured it before my very eyes... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) ... Wow! The speed improvement I got from updated version of FF seem to be not just a fluke! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) ... HV might be fun for me to play again now.

I only use Chrome to play HV now, Gecko doesn't hold a candle to WebKit in terms of speed. Sadly.

I might have to try a clean-install of chrome. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) For the moment, with vanilla chrome and no extension, the rendering speed seems good but oddly, its always has a short delay, kinda like it's waiting for something (data?) before it begin to render after every action. In the end, I got 1 turn per second at best, which is damn slow... Chrome on my current PC was installed before its become mine and before I change some network setting. Maybe that might have something to do with it... With this [ www1.plala.or.jp] FF build. I got 1.5-2 turns per second before I updated FF, now I got about 3, which is good enough for me if this speed remain consistent. Weirdly enough... The fastest HV experiences (4 turns/second) was from my older PC, which is at least 4 time slower than what I have now, and using outdated version of FF... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) What Windows do you use BTW?

Win7 x64/Firefox 12/Chrome Canary Vanilla Firefox is pretty fast, as long as it stays that way. Once you start adding extension/scripts, things start to turn tragic. Chrome is fast all around. The build you linked to is slightly faster than Chrome with extensions enabled, but it's almost not noticeable.

QUOTE 2 minutes ago: Next version of HV is finally feature-complete. Just needs a bit of polish. Could even go live tomorrow unless testing uncovers bad stuff. So... Tenboro's Christmas present to us, essentially? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

QUOTE Just needs a bit of polish ... Don't polish it too much; bitching about bad stuff in the patch is fun. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Oh well... Even if the patch is so polish there's nothing to whine and have some fun about, I can always count on the guaranteed amusement of watching angry mobs parading en mass into the patch thread and then listening to the beautiful sound of their scream and moan in pain and suffering.
