QUOTE(buktore @ Nov 18 2010, 03:53) Can I hire someone around here to battletoads this shit for me? I want it to LV. 50 to see if I would gain more bleed turn. It might turn out to be my new secret weapon to fight FSM, "old-school" style.
It gain a extra turn at L134, and the next one at L267. This post has been edited by cmdct: Nov 18 2010, 11:31

According to Sayo's chart those could be base 1.5 OR base 2.0 The only way to find out is to get them to 50 to see if they gain a turn (2.0) or not (1.5).

You sure?
From your number that base bleed would be 1.5 if I understand Sayo's chart correctly.
But if it's base 2 then? isn't it possible to gain more turn at LV. 50? or do you know for sure it is base 1.5? How do you know then?

You have to level up until l50, if you get the extra turn it's 2.0, if not it's 1.5

Yeah, I'm gambling on that, hope that my recent wave of good luck still within me! I could just go with my axe, but my aim is extremely ambitious; killing him with 8 Item slots + 1 Scroll slots (no refill) and that's it. It might sound ridiculous at my LV but hey, it will be fun for sure! You're welcome to laugh when it all come crashing down. QUOTE(4EverLost @ Nov 18 2010, 13:25) QUOTE(Conquest101 @ Nov 18 2010, 13:40) QUOTE(buktore @ Nov 18 2010, 14:10) what do you think about the parry on these? Fine Prism Dagger of the NimbleSuperior Prism Dagger of the NimbleSuperior Prism Rapier of the NimbleSuperior Prism Rapier of the Nimble (needs some levels) I think I'll use the 6@22% rapier in the offhand most of the time while using axe, eth sword as main or a sword chuck someplace. The rapiers are nice off-handers though. My thought.. - I'm kinda imagine that High LV player probably need less protections, so the Rapier seem to be a better idea. - If I were you, I would choose the 22% Rapier as well. that's a nice thing you got there. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) - For me, however, the parry amount is a tad bit too low to my liking to called it "of Nimble" I would sacrifice a few parry and op to use something like this (please scale it to your LV for comparison sake) instead, or try looking for better one. This is just my opinion, not an advice or recommendation.- If you don't need to PA, then go with the dagger, since the only reason to equip Rapier is for PA. - Best thing would be.. ditch all of these, and continue maging. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) @ Conquest101 I like killing fast too, but what if the Slaughter doesn't make you kill things faster? The jump from 2-hit kill to 1-hit kill is very steep indeed.. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) PS. If MOD see this, I request to move this discussions elsewhere. Off-hand daggers it's only when you have a rapier in the main-hand of course, and dual rapiers it's not better like some people think. @4EverLost: It's funny to see how a "fine" dagger is better than a equivalent "superior" due the distribution of stats (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) @buktore: with nimble you kill things 1-shot too, when you get the off-hand strike. With 9 mobs in average I clear the round with 11 turns (slaughter) or 14 turns (nimble), that's noticeable with the time you waste, but the extra parry covers by far the extra 3 turns. Abut the your rapier, that depends on what kind of rapiers you have. nimble, slaughter, balance all are good for use, the major factor for decision is normally what you have. Myself I think this way is the best MP saver whatever challenge I engage: Get just enough defense to avoid cures, then reserve the rest for power.

Goddamn it. Second day in a row that I couldn't finish all arenas. I always do them before the dawn event. But had a blackout yesterday. And today it started lagging just when I started. I'm telling you it's Tenboro with some kinda switch to prevent me from getting credits and last round drops.

I've said it before, but I could totally see Tenb as a Blofeld-like figure with a high-backed chair and stroking an evil pet cat as he cackles while messing with HV settings.

Bleh, never mind Tenb, you know what I battled last night? I was kickin' it in bed watching TV after my back was killing me from HentaiVersing and this huge-ass moth came out of nowhere and headed right at me. It was flying all crooked and I finally killed it (its body left dusty gross crud all over my pillow case). Christ, it was like battling Mothra. Hitoooooo! I battled Mothra and it was yucky! I checked under the bed to make sure those two little singing fairy chicks weren't under there and then I changed my pillow case. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Evasion market definitely seems to have died down considerably. Prior to the credit nerf, those pants (miwabe's auction) at least would have gone for considerably more. Market is getting saturated with high evade pieces it seems. I'm probably going to make it worse shortly as well. Well I can see how they make a difference. If you compare a 5 base evade piece and a 6 base evade piece. The difference at level 0 is 1 (d'uh). But at 200 it's at 1.5 already thanks to level scaling. And if you include proficiency the difference is 1.8. And the higher you go the bigger the difference is going to get. Viceversa it's not as useful at lower levels.

Physical and Magical shouldn't even be a consideration with evade gear. They're minuscule compared to the damage you'll avoid from a better evade percentage.

Mageing sure is awesome. One click and everyone fucking dies. Even mini Bosses. I have not even maxed my holy ratings yet and purge is already this strong? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Depends what difficulty you're playing. Purge is way overkill for Normal at least.

You misunderstood what I said, I'm not talking about the advantage you have with bigger evade, but about the fact anyone can clear any challenge without them. You're wrong, or you didn't understand what I said. Per example 5% physical/magical mitigation saves the same amount of HP as 5% evade. I'm not explain in detail what was discussed before here, but the conclusion was that the best way to evaluate evade gear is physical mitigation + evade for physical attacks, magical mitigation + evade + resist for magical attacks. So to answer you both at the same time let's take this example for physical: Silk 1: 2% base mitigation, 5% base evade Silk 2: 1% base mitigation, 6% base evade At level 0: It's oblivious they offer the same protection. At level 200: (With 200 cloth proficiency) Silk 1: 3.6% base mitigation, 9% evade Silk 2: 1.8% base mitigation, 10.8% evade Both results are 12.6Edit: Just curiosity but (at level 0) I my pants have more 0.75 points (physical), and less 0.05 points (magical) than miwabe give.
