Considering that you can get 300 million EXP from one battle, I'd be very curious to hear what a "reasonable ratio" would be. Should be worth a chuckle.

I'm getting ready to buy some crystals, I can't take it anymore. Oh no, but if I do, I might go crazy again. I'm not sure if I can just buy a few and then stop. I have known tenboro long enough that I feel comfortable predicting what this "Crystalfest" mode will be. It will basically be a combination of IW and Grindfest, with all ITEM drops replaced by crystal drops (equipment and artifacts will still drop.) Most likely it will have no credit drops, standard or reduced EXP, the same Stamina consumption as IW (0.05/0.01,) and will have infinite rounds that still increase enemy damage in the same scheme as grindfest.

Since half the item drops you get are already crystal drops, this would only double your current crystal gain rate, at the expense of all other items. So, don't get your hopes up expecting a mode where you get x10 or more crystals per drop, at least without an accompanying added hath perk to provide such an amount per drop. Drop rate should probably increase proportionally with difficulty setting to prevent Cake farming.


Personally, I'm hoping for a new Crystarium perk since Ichy "frithed" all his hath away already, even though it would still be more than I have right now. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)


As for how close this is, or whether tenboro will make changes to spite or validate my prediction, remains to be seen.

I do. I first thought it was the poor man's spark of life. Then I realized that not only does it cost half as much, it lasts just as long and doesn't wear off when it activates. And it doesn't eat up as much spirit. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Or we get a Monster Grindfest. Once a day you can make them fight and get a bunch of Crystals for every enemy monster they slay.
This could become fun once supporting monsters are ingame.

Actually, I was talking about the first 49 rounds of easy custom monsters. I obviously fled after that, seeing as it takes me 30-40 seconds to kill a legendary at Normal difficulty. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I don't need him to respond, only to read it. You forget I have years of rapport with tenboro, and this is the best way to ensure that "Crystalfest" does not become something as monotonous and bland as what I described above.

Of course, now I've negated that effort thanks to having to explain it to you.
