Second time on IWBTH, didn't feel like doing it on normal. I was hoping that if they can drop Exquisites on normal, they would surely be able to drop Magnificents on IWBTH. Unfortunately logic has failed me and it's pretty apparent that Normal = IWBTH. It's a load of horse shit how BT and IWBTH have the same loot quality bonus while IBWTH is 2.5 times harder than BT. This time all three of them finally gave me a drop and yet two of those fuckers have to give me crystals.

How many magnificent equipment in the game are there?

Sometimes I don't understand how the difficulty affects drop quality. In example, I've got this when I've doing Exquisites on Cake:

If it affects quality - then why Fine? If it affects stats - then why stats are pretty decent (at least I think so, tell me if I'm wrong). The more I think the more I suppose difficulty affect a CHANCE of good equipment drop. So you still can get a good stuff even on a Cake, but you'll need to get through a shitload of waves for it... Pretty much. Difficulty means you get better rolls and a chance at better stuff. Quality bonuses (LotD, difficulty, depth, hidden god mode) will eventually prevent you from getting crudes, but you can still get exquishits.

The quality prefix is basically the average value of all the stats given to a piece of gear. For a stat that ranges from 5-10, getting 5 is +1 quality while getting 10 is +6 quality. The sum of the quality scores is then divided by the maximum possible quality score to get a quality rating between 0 and 1. For example, a piece of gear would have to score above 0.5 to qualify as "fine", so if the maximum quality score was 100, it would need at least 51.

That means there could be bad and good stats for almost everything (absorption stats weighing less), it just gets less likely as the item gets better. Awesome crudes and crappy legendaries do exist, but they're unlikely.

Tenb said something in the patch notes he might do something about pretty much unobtainable Loot.
Also im fairly sure there is some hidden cock blocker preventing us from finding any Magnificent Gear.

As for why the top-level mobs don't have a larger chance of dropping good gear, it's because certain values in the quality formula end up capping, especially on higher difficulties. That's also fixed in the next patch.
