QUOTE(Conquest101 @ Nov 7 2010, 12:48) 1) Irrelevant since you didn't offer 400k initially either. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) 2) The market being the 2 of us basically. Take me out of the equation and you most likely would also have gotten that cap for a "ridiculously unfairly low value". And I doubt many people beyond us stupid high levels with tons of credits to throw around would consider hundreds of thousands of credits to be ridiculously low in the first place. Is modifying other people's quotes going to be the new fad around here now? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) This isn't true. I was bidding on it too. As I recall I was willing to go as far as 400k (basically all I had at the time). And I'd have gone further if I had the credits. But I didn't.

If the open market refuses to pay more than an amount, then an amount cannot reasonably be characterized as unfairly low. If a closed market sale pays less than market value, that characterization is valid. Note: Had he randomly PM'ed you and offered to sell them to you for that price, everything would be different. Screwing people who don't know better is not a great way to live your life.

So the same unfair value I paid in other words? QUOTE(Boggyb @ Nov 7 2010, 10:52) If the open market refuses to pay more than an amount, then an amount cannot reasonably be characterized as unfairly low. If a closed market sale pays less than market value, that characterization is valid.

Except the open market would likely never have gotten to see the items in the first place. Call it entrepreneurship on my part. Taking the initiative and all that. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) QUOTE(Boggyb @ Nov 7 2010, 10:52) Didn't you start it? (In regards to HV threads)
I guess. We'll see if it takes off. Anyways, I have places to be. We can continue this conversation later if you so desire.

(The Equipment thread never used to be a place to buy equipment.)

Oh god, you just made me remember of Golden Sun, which he did the same damn thing, and he even said he "deserved" special gear because he was looking for it for a "long time". He wasn't registered much more than a month here (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Edit: QUOTE(buktore @ Nov 7 2010, 09:15) You know what's funny? I think that was generated by bazzar, not a player's drop. This post has been edited by cmdct: Nov 7 2010, 22:26

I would say that is annoying.

I wonder. It depends on what Tenboro meant by this: QUOTE(Tenboro @ Oct 28 2010, 08:47) - All dropped equipment will now always have a suffix. Filler equipment generated by the store will not.
Does that mean store generated equipment will never have a suffix, or that it will not always have one? If the first is true, that piece must have been a drop.

So it was a drop. It's so unfair a random lurker with low trainings (or even none done) get that kind of gear, high level people don't get (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

What's with all these clubs I keep getting dropped in the arena? I'd rather have a club sandwich. Oooh, with fries and a pickle. QUOTE(hitokiri84 @ Nov 7 2010, 09:19) So let me get this straight.
I dunno about straight, but I can make it stiff. (IMG:[ lulzimg.com] http://lulzimg.com/i8/4c3e56a7.gif)

Speaking about lurkers, looks like this whole conversation made some of them look into the equipment thread, since I just got one. Anyways, since this is popular enough, I'll telling here that I'm stuck in EoD for 1-2 weeks, so any PM's about buying/trading gear from me, forget them (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Would anyone try to argue that the Token of Blood and HV Item threads are not pure spam threads devoid of any (recent) worthwhile discussion?

So much controversy. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Well damn, thanks to this thread I have 30 new pms asking about equipment. As for the deal with Conquest; I haven't been on here since early Spring, he asked for them, I sold them. I should have checked the forum first to see what they were worth, but didn't, my bad. Also since there seem to be so many people who want the stuff I posted and I happen to have the next few days off and I don't know how many days/months it will be before I come back after that, I am just going to throw it all into one big auction. Most notable pieces: Crude silver-trimmed phase cap of heimdallFair silk robe of the fleetFun Fact 1: Both pieces I sold to Conquest as well as the two above I bought at the bazaar, each for less then 3000C. Fun Fact 2: The two pieces of Phase were sold to the bazaar while the robes were both generated by it.
