QUOTE(sushi0 @ Jul 11 2011, 03:59) That's because he didn't put player levels into account. It has always seemed ridiculous to me how a level 100 player can get the same amount of exp and credits as a level 300 player if they killed the same monsters and have the same EXP bonuses.
You're supposed to be rewarded for leveling up, but I guess logic doesn't really apply all that much to HV.
We are rewarded for leveling up by the ability to play on higher difficulties. In the first place HV is not supposed to let us grind so many credits, it's just a mini-game. Someone like me should probably be punished for playing the game only without contributing much to the e-hentai. QUOTE(buktore @ Jul 11 2011, 04:06) Mage got nerfed? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) ... How? By finding something in a secret formula that our damage is double-counted before the patch (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) And melee get buffed a bit, it seems

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Jul 10 2011, 15:09) So you're claiming that you can't kill the same monsters faster at lvl 300?
Yes. The damage boost from the 300 would be negated by the increase in HP from the monster. I can't say for sure unless you make me a clone of my character and reduce it to level 100 so I can test this. Even if the lvl 300 can kill faster (not by much), does that justify a lvl 100 getting the same amount of exp and credits as a 300? Edit: QUOTE(radixius @ Jul 10 2011, 15:13) I guess logic doesn't apply to the typical HV player :3
You failed to realize that a monster at level 100 has significantly less HP than it does at 300. Other than that, you're pretty good at being an average forum troll. This post has been edited by sushi0: Jul 10 2011, 22:18

Man, get a sense of humor about yourself. Seriously, if you think that's trolling...

Well, I should apologize. I'm pretty edgy right now so I'm being a bit too over defensive. I don't mean any harm though. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Just read Tenb comment about it a minute ago. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This made me LOL! QUOTE(Tenboro @ Jul 10 2011, 19:20) What I'm wondering is how it (elemental bonus) could be this broken for so long without anyone noticing.

I'm not seeing a 100 lvl player playing the same higher difficulties a level 300 player plays, and those give more exp and credits bonuses. This post has been edited by cmdct: Jul 10 2011, 22:28

Reread my post. QUOTE(sushi0 @ Jul 10 2011, 14:59) same monsters and have the same EXP bonuses.

On this. The only real melee buff I could see, thus far, is higher bleed damage. Another boost is the new channeling mechanic and Shield buff, but that applied to everyone.

You missed Tenb's point, which I tried to make you to see: Higher level players has more power, so in reality they usually play higher difficulties and get more exp, credits, and higher loot in the same amount of time than lower level players. This post has been edited by cmdct: Jul 10 2011, 22:45

Not really. A 300 can kill things faster just by having access to stronger spells and stronger auras. QUOTE Even if the lvl 300 can kill faster (not by much), does that justify a lvl 100 getting the same amount of exp and credits as a 300?
A 300 gains more EXP since he has access to more EXP tanks. Even if both the 100 and 300 had maxed AL + max EXP perks + max EXP tanks, the 300 gets more simply by having around 18 more EXP tanks.

WTB mats.
Also, missing things is getting kinda old. I'm almost level 300. I shouldn't be missing this often.

Yeesh... It's like WoW, you have to raise your hit rating every patch so you don't absolutely suck.

QUOTE(varst @ Jul 11 2011, 03:50) Getting 50k credits from grindfest for a 14k energy drink maybe way too much. I tried grinding on heroic, it should give 20k for a energy drink now. Seems a bit more balanced.
That's not more balanced because two things 1:Not everybody wish to run the grindfest at heroic. That's quite tired, and impossable for lowlevel. 2:If we do this only for exchange our time to exp, we'll see how the drinks went to 20k each since everyone who do this will need about 10 drinks per day. I think you can remember there were some days at HV0.4 the Infusion of Flames selled at WTB is about 100C each. Anyway, I don't think the easy farming in grindfest is balanced, but now the grindfest looks like only a place you can waste your stamina points

Any love for the melee? For example, skills that are exclusive for melee?

So, EDB or elementalist better now?
With elementalist, you can at least pick your spell element and take advantage of enemy weaknesses.

Plan for tonight: Quick look at the forums, then go to bed. What actually happened: On visiting the front page, got a random encounter with three custom monsters. Something been updated? Check the patch notes. Ended up spendng 3 hours attempting to assimilate the new info...
