I'm still considering your offer and I'll probably take you up on it, but I want to know more abut how the monster lab will evolve before I do. I don't generate 10,000 crystals a day, otherwise I'd take it up in a heartbeat (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

But the features will be added one at a time, in no particular order.

Yeah I was kinda asking for that wasn't I. I'm close-ish to getting the 3rd crystal perk, and Vash hasn't had an upgrade in a while since I can't find any fucking finesse or vigor crystals, so unless miracles occur you'll probably get mine soon. Humanoids are just too squishy :\ we needed a superhuman monster type.

It's not luck. The problem is actually that crystals shortages and surpluses will perpetuate themselves over time because the cost of upgrading all elements rises when you increase one element. If you upgrade Soul first it might cost 400 Quintessence crystals but by the time you get to Flames it might cost 450 crystals for the same level. Over 12 monsters that leads to you needing 600 extra crystals of Flames than you do of Quintessence. Do that over multiple levels and it's easy to see how you can end up with a shortage of 12,000 crystals of one type.

You could avoid this problem by upgrading the attributes in the order you have least crystals of, but it's just too tempting to click on the text when it's illuminated. I simply can't restrain myself!

It could be said that this is truly sadistic piece of design which will always lead to you having least of what you need most and most of what you need least.

How about a level modifier? Something like Strength = Str+(Level/100)? That would make players earn the EXP bonuses that high level monsters give them.

Edit: It would also address the problem where level 150 monsters can be more powerful than level 600 monsters.

Your mosnter is a pain in the ass as she is now, if her power level is a problem you shouldn't had raised INT/WIS/dark/holy/soul on the start, and focus more in END + STR + 4 elements, since apparently it's the way you judge monsters.
