It seemed that when a normal equipment could just be bought around 50K and better one at 80K.

Normal players did not have multiple million to spend on the materials. Especially something not useful right now.

Depends on how long and how active you play. Sure, it's an investment, but everything is an investment later in the game.

For now I understand this as an attempt to:

Those who collect cores right now are hoping for them to be quite heavy in demand. But with us not even knowing how all the systems are going to work, even item world, it's really just a gamble.

That is actually why I do not want to style change now. We know that upgrades of equip do carry over, IW does not. So an entire style change might not be worth doing right now... or is super worth doing because it gets harder/more expensive after the changes. Nobody knows though. Nobody knows what's going to be good or not so good to begin with.

So my last credits were simply dumped into dd2 and dd3. It's not very efficient, but will do what it does no matter how the changes are going to be.
It's not a very healthy climate we currently have, yeah. Some more definite information would definitely help, because if there are really big changes coming, people can essentially lose millions of credits by whatever they do right now. Or gain that, obviously.

The "minimum viable" release for the new equipment system is deploying the new database tables as well as a rewrite of the logic for generating equipment, deriving and displaying stats as well as handling equipping/unequipping, and even that would probably be a stretch to fit into the remaining time. And I don't think a bare-bones release without any forge functionality at all would be very.. welcomed?

Also, since the Market will need to be released to Persistent without this, I would also need to do an in-between release or maintain separate code branches, which would be a pain in the ass. So I'll probably hold off on it entirely.

Snom guess: There would be a surprised stat, aka random stat, when forged an equipment at a certain grade of certain equipment, just like in Genshin Impact ? Yes, it would be great. But Snom would like not to have gacha box break, please... (=3=)
Oh, "the new equipment system is deploying the new database tables" does it mean that all forged equipment would be reset to the primal/original stats, all forged will be reset, or even the stats would be changed too ? (0_0!)

Nope. There are a few notable exceptions, for unknown (to me) reasons.

Such as some very old artifacts, like the Priceless Ming Vase and te Seven-Leafed Clover.

It may just be that 10b forgot them in the implementation, or simply there isn't any in existence now.

Uh, assuming you mean ordering your equipment by drop time, then hvutils lets you order by equip ID. It won't be perfect because of traded/bought gear, but it'll be close
