It works for my persistent ethereal Estoc/Shade build, but my Isekai Regular Estoc/leather build keeps getting knocked out on PFUDOR difficulty before I can even use shatter strike.

Following my code of honor and respect, I listened to the original first...except I didn't really like the song so I did the exact opposite of what I ought to do. I immediately stopped listening and went to the vtuber version before I really got a good listen to what the song was like.

I did this also because I like this particular vtuber: the sausage legend (never heard her artist before). I wanted to give her a chance to beat the originals so I listened to hers first, in a maybe mediocre song where I figured there was nothing to ruin.

I didn't listen carefully, but I think the vtuber version is better in all aspects. It sounds more professional, even. Both singers, in what I guess you could call those two modes of female speech or singing. I mean, I think both are kind of fake. But they are standard anime voices. I have heard that most anime voices are fake, as in that's not how they talk in real life. A few are real, but even then I'm not sure how many are cases of true reality, or that they just talk fake in real life all the time.

Can anyone offer insight or wisdom on this subject?

About the sausage legend, she's back to using her original duck voice in this song (plus seems more trained from her singing lessons than before) but in her everyday streams she dropped the duck voice and uses her normal lower voice all the time for at least a year now. I could tell that was her real voice from the first times I heard her, before she switched. She made an excuse that she needs a $5 microphone to talk like the duck (but I think this is only partially true).

Interesting, the comments to this video say that this vtuber used to refuse to do singing streams. It does fit with what I've felt with all clips I've seen of her...and the way she sings used to be like she was treating it as a joke, but it was still quite good in my opinion.

Anyway, maybe in a year or less I plan to give it a shot to freak out all vtuber lovers. Apocalypse was delayed when BlueWaterSplash artist wasn't interested in vtubers. Dunno if the evil plan will get anywhere, as I don't understand what I myself sound like. Sometimes the opposite happens of what you intend.

Yes, can agree that Eromanga-sensei and related works (*cough OreImo *cough*) are pretty on the "degenerate" side, but overall still a "good-looking" anime (in terms of appearance) as long you don't really pry in for the plots of course.

Oh well, guess I should look for another "normal" otaku song on my playlist (with maybe a few extras to pay the "fine" lol). Don't ask me why I chose that song out of all my songs in there. It was 5:47am when I saw that post haha.

Though speaking of Vtubers where some peeps here are pretty against it, I personally treat them as casual entertainment. I just watched some short clips of them, maybe some of their MVs and that's pretty much it. Never really watched them streaming for reals, internet isn't stable or fast enough to begin with...
I personally can't comment much on how and what Vtubers' off-stream (aka IRL) personality is, I don't really care much. In the end, they're just normal people working with someone to make ends meet, but unlike conventional workers they're instead "working" online entertaining people using their Vtuber masks to the people watching them on the other side of the screen. So I'm not gonna pry much what are they doing off-screen, what's on-screen stays on-screen.

Oh just to add this in: I won't judge if you really hate Vtubers or anything else. It's your own taste after all, so don't feel afraid to being judged (as long your taste is still within society norms).

Never seen Eromanga-sensei, but there's nothing degenerate about Oreimo in the least. Actually I was shocked to learn that it's illegal to marry your sister in Japan (according to Oreimo). To me, that is as ridiculous as real laws in the United States against sitting on a park bench with an ice cream in your pants (it was something like that).

I suspect that most Vtubers' personality is similar or identical in real life. I think that is the main attraction of vtubing. It's basically like what in America is "reality TV" except with anime characters. They might change their voice, but their personality will determine the script.

Fuck society norms.

My taste is pretty weird but it's ok. I think I'm just getting too boomer for vtubers. Words can't really explain how much repulsive I feel at vtuber culture in general, despite me enjoying a fair bit of vtuber original music. Like, I get actual physical feedback when I watch vtubers so there's that. So yea, might want to keep that in mind if you decide to take part in any of my future events.

I just noticed that my PAB stats screen displays properly now even on my old PC. It used to display all wacky on the next lines, most likely resolution dependent (my screen is 900p). I guess a recent patch may have addressed this? Didn't catch it in any notes.

Certain other things, like the way text displays and wraps in borderline scenarios (text almost filling the width of window) is still different between my 900p, and usual 1080p or higher resolution monitors.

Sounds strange, when I pop out the verse from the main page, the entire window is 1252 x 793. Making it smaller makes scroll bars appear. Should fit just fine into 900p as it is though.
