I used to teach kids physics and maths. Good students? Nice. Dumb ones? Nonstop talking for hours. Good thing I never had to do big classes, only once or twice. Also good thing I never had to teach kids younger than 15.
I dropped the whole teaching gig to focus on my main job now. Kinda miss teaching ngl.

Anyways...I'm pretty much in shock right now. A number of the Japanese guys I used to play games with became vtubers. One of them, basically an amateur who just started, has a character of equal visual quality to all these Hololivers. He also defeated all of them in singing a girl song using a voice changer.

I think. I can't really read Japanese so I can't fully understand what's going on. His avatar looks like a girl with a skinny male body (I saw a lot of these in that link earlier). He voice changes sometimes to various types of low female voices. Sounds like those typical female Japanese VA who try to sound male, ironically (I dislike most of them). He uses his normal deep, dude voice other times.

I won't link the video or tell it to anyone here. I don't think he has much of a following, and am not sure how dedicated he is to getting one. But he looks serious.

A whole bunch of other Japanese players are vtubers too, with characters of varying visual quality. All were pretty much girls. Some using voice changer. It's pretty obvious sometimes. Robotic audio quality. I don't think they really want to be girls. They just want to use a girl avatar and speak to match.

The world ended. All the vtubers and even original famous artists lose to a dude using a voice changer.

Jesus. See, you can't trust anything. Even girls with tits might as well be guys with makeup.

The world is saved! Thank goodness for google translate. Someone commented why their voice keeps changing. They explained that they are a team of people, with artists and professional female VAs, then scolded that guy for being an idiot and asking the forbidden question. They weren't a voice changing dude after all. The player was the dude. Doesn't make sense on the game choices. Too niche and only played by hardcore Japanese. Zero visibility.

The other vtubers playing that game could be solo acts with voice changers (no singing). Strongest one could be my real life friend in Japan. I'll try to find out. Wife used to play, too. Quality character graphics, voice obviously changed. Shouts dude stuff. Clothing best left unsaid.

I was the only fake girl in that game for 10 years. Gotta get my title back. May spend $$$ this year. Something like this BlueWaterSplash picture and clothing would work. For them, no need to change voice. Many of them know what I sound or even look like already.

IIRC the frontier of all vtubers, Kizuna Ai, was exactly this. A bit funny to see her no longer as relevant as other vtubers. Unironically, she's the only one I could handle among all vtubers. As in I could watch a video of hers to the end without killing myself.

I joined a class for elementary school children once, disguising as one (insert hello fellow kids meme). Long live online classrooms. Anyway, it was chaotic as hell. The kids kept doing their own shit while my friend (the teacher) was trying to get their attention. The most fun thing was probably me absolutely destroying them in the tests. But damn, it's weird hearing children still in 1 digit age range talking "fuck" and "sex".

Yeah, I know that feeling, I can't listen to my own voice either. I read it's something to do with the acoustics of your own head - the resonation in your nerves and bones - which emphasizes the bass when you're speaking, but you don't get that with a microphone (especially not anything on the cheaper end).

So imagine what it must sound like for the voice actor for Kratos. Or any number of singers who sound like horses that smoked 2 packs a day for 40 years.

You should be more confident in your voice even if you're such a smoker, who knows, maybe you get to be the singer to an anime's opening song!

This is one of the highest quality vtubers (bad singer) but she's only a year old. In the earlier (Mario Kart) vtuber video, I thought she was one of the best weebos. She randomly uttered Japanese phrases which sounded fluent to me, but she didn't say a lot.

Now that I see this, I can tell she's not fluent in Japanese. Far better than me. Most likely she has been to Japan a few times or lived there a while because she naturally picked up how to stall for time, for her to figure out how to say something. She also knows what real Japanese players like to shout in games. She actually sounds good weebing out; gives me courage.

Maybe by now she is fluent. Funny seeing her struggling to correct her grammar in real time. I don't know any Japanese grammar, which also prevents me from understanding a word. I have a mental block because I want to hear those cute Japanese girls say "chiba chiba chiba" in anime forever and have no idea what's coming out of their mouth.

At this point I saw some other vtuber videos with BAD weebo Japanese (not hololive). Won't link any. Very bad. Cringey roll around on ground kind. It's not even me doing it, and I'm traumatized.

I'm thinking that if I can vtube myself eventually, I should consider only speaking Japanese. With my friends, in private. That would hopefully mask my voice so that no one around me can figure out who I am. Even if I become retarded and can't say anything, that's just part of my gig.

I want a 2D avatar, they are more professional and cuter. BlueWaterSplash picture looks almost the same as Sausage Legend Subaru.

I made a mistake. Check my correction post above, there was no voice changing dude singer. Best voice changing guy so far was Ass Spanker's video. But hey, it could still happen someday.

...Oh. I just looked that vtuber up. She is only half a year old and won Vtuber singing contest to become hololive. No wonder I had her ranked at top. She will probably become famous very soon. I also saw that she was destroying all the other girls in the Mario Kart game, but she probably had a guy playing for her.

This must be that other girl's real voice. It still sounds totally like a girl, but people called her ossan. Sausage Legend Subaru uses a fake voice, too. Her real voice is the one that sang you even though she said that's her fake voice.

Watched more of the Snom video. This girl is totally fluent in Japanese and I think she talks using her real voice, too. Her fake voice is Pikachu. She'll probably end up a real VA, not just a singer.

This girl looks so awesome, though. She's the hottest one yet. I'm noticing now that the newest hololive vtubers (produced in last 6 months) are higher quality than previous ones. They are getting better at rigging the 2D models. Like the mouths move in more detail, as just one aspect. Not just open and close, but can make different shapes and follow the speech.

I don't know that song. Maybe it's supposed to be like that. I have no idea.

...No wait. I googled the name and I have heard this song before. I watched the anime for free on TV. It was just so badly sung that I couldn't recognize it. I probably didn't like this song as I couldn't remember it. All the comments say she is a good singer. edit: I guess she isn't bad. This song is hard to sing, even the other girl struggles a bit.

The newer english hololivers I've seen have lower voices, since they use their real voice. Wait, the ultra cute hot vtuber is using a fake voice. Her real voice is low? Might be lower than mine.

I meant that the mathematical formula for changing tempo (independent of pitch) is very difficult. As in, it takes a very smart person(s) to write the computer program that does that for you. Most likely the authors of Audacity did not code that part themselves but it's a plugin or something that they borrowed or read up on how to do it.

My version was really old and didn't have the checkbox for higher quality, but it could still perform it (undocumented) via the other explained method. Also, these might not be rookies. Just found out the new hololive girl I linked just above (who I saw for the first time hours ago) was another Australian professional vtuber just before (this also explains her Australian accent, when she occasionally lets it slip out). Who wasn't nearly as hot as her new one. No resemblance in appearance whatsoever.

But she is singing the exact same song, in the exact same way, with the exact same voice. This also means she practiced that song a ton. So her tomato is deserved, after all. (If someone is truly new and sings decently, that should suggest they are talented).

And presumably, she was another cheaper, lower quality unidentified vtuber(s) before that.

All these hololivers are playing Minecraft. Not that I'm surprised, but that kinda makes me feel they are all little kids. I don't really understand why adults would play Minecraft. But I guess one or two of my fighting game pals who were older did play Minecraft, too.

I never played Minecraft, but I played a little bit of a different free/cheap clone of it where we could use avatars and voice chat in-game. So I took my usual girl avatar and just used to chat with other guys and girls, mostly little kids. And had lots of tomatoes thrown at me by little boys and girls for my dude voice on girl avatar. But also tricked a lot of guys. Most older guys tend to interpret my voice as female.

There's vtuber porn? Tried to look for some but didn't really find any. I mean, if it's just standard porn using the vtuber characters, that's expected I guess. (I was imagining somehow using your vtuber itself, for pornful activities).

If I manage to get a quality vtuber avatar, I want it to be able to be very hentai. Would like to have the full range of hentai expressions. I have amusing ideas on how to use them. Not pervy at all.
