It's not exactly a formula - it's just that you can have a maximum of 14 arenas unlocked, so once you have the first 14, every arena thereafter will remove the lowest level one for you. (Example: once you unlock DWD, you'll lose Growing Storm.) The other things to note are that the number of rounds for all arenas was shortened, and then the formula for monster selection was tweaked a little so they should start off with more monsters. DWD now starts with 1 SG straight away - no more 3 monster trash rounds! |

Nice... So DwD will start with SG+3mobs??? Yeah SG's early rounds are really annoying, especially for 1H... Just look at Eternal Days, 41 rounds of 2 mobs... I'm gonna close the old DWD thread once the patch is applied, and put up the new 'HV Turn Records' thread. So last chance to get a legacy clear post today... The new one's going to have more categories than just DWD - we're doing the level 300, 400 and 500 arenas, 100-round IW, and grindfest (all on PFUDOR). The idea is to get more data on how the different styles can perform at various levels of play, not just record all-time bests. It's not actually that prestigious to hold a record - partly due to the tower damage bonus, partly due to the fact that we can't truly verify any runs haven't been doctored. But it should be good enough as a vague reference. Probably worth noting that although tomorrow is Friday, melee players might want to wait to see what the new title gives before trying to set any new records (if they care about that) - what if it gives a higher damage bonus?
