Heck I remember when Astolfo was still not a famous trap, it did not even overshadow Brigget from Guilty Gear and that was saying enough, since at the time Astolfo appeared, no new Brigget material was published (Well, at least not that came from Japan).

BTW, I found Fate/Apocrypha to be quite a bad anime overall. Astolpho is basically the only thing I found rather positive and decently done in there. Everything else is bullshit done with ideas that could have been great if used correctly.

With One Piece's Kikunojo it didn't happen, everyone (those who didn't know Japanese or in the translated manga didn't get the indication that he introduced himself to Luffy and Zoro as a male samurai) thought she was a girl, and they were very disappointed when it was revealed that it was not.

I don't always look at too much hentai, so I still have never seen any Astolfo hentais. Maybe someday, but I'm getting old so I don't play as many games or look at too many hentai these days...

I checked internet just now; apparently I did not get to the Jeanne KYAA part yet. Jack just died for me. The sexual abuse from his master should have been enough; but it didn't show much and stopped. Then everyone started calling Astolfo a she in the official subtitles; so when Astolfo randomly wore girl clothes I would probably have been tricked if I didn't already know.

I like Astolfo's voice, it's a nice true girl voice. I tend not to like the Japanese voices they use for tomboy or boy characters, even though they are also voiced by females.

I accidentally saw a weird series on american TV this year with a real trans actor/character and it was freaky because they talked in a guy's voice. I didn't think it was believable for people to accept that as a woman.

I haven't watched many other shows with Astolfo's voice, but in one she was a cross-dressing girl, so maybe some people think this voice has a male quality to it? Sounds pure female to me, though.

I'm not sure why I didn't like the archer girl, usually I like that sort of character (clothes, small boobs, etc). Guess I didn't like her hair and voice, plus she went insane for no reason after Jack died. Shakespeare finished in second place, thank goodness he didn't win.
