Almost, but not quite. It looks to be between 579 and 580, which didn't quite make sense.
I made a 250 and a 1240 monster (250 + 3 x 330, for 4x morale drain rate) a couple of months ago. The morale drop sometimes stays in sync, but it's not consistent.

There are times when it takes exactly 12 hours for a morale drop on the 250 monster, and 48 hours for a morale drop on the 1240 monster. Frequently, however, there is a slight delay, maybe 1 to 4 minutes on the 250 monster. The delay on the 1240 monster has been the sum of the delays for the 250 monster over the same time period, plus frequently a little more. At last check, the morale drain rate for the 1240 monster was almost 4.01x instead of 4x.

So, my guess is that the morale drain rate starts changing after 250, and it's supposed to increase by a factor of 1 every 330 levels (although it's probably capped), but whatever is causing the slight lag makes the drain rate increase a little better. I can't be positive without knowing what causes the inconsistency, but it's close enough for me.

The hypothesis you worked on (and I concurred, back then when we discussed it) was that (in ontrast to what is/was written in Wiki) the drain is constant (i.e. x1) until 250, and then started to decrease linearly up to 2250.
I think this can be said to have been definitely proved now.

The second hypothesis was that, instead of having the 250-2250 range divided in 5 interval of 400 each (giving a final factor of x6 @2250), it is instead divided (erroneously?) in 6 interval; each one should then be large 333.333.... for a final x7 drain rate slowing (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (Someone with both a PL2250 and a PL<250 monster could easily verify which is which, btw).

If you want a x4 drain to test, you should give your monster a PL = (333.333 * 3) + 250 => 1250 instead of 1240.

This said, @PL 1240 you should see something like x3.99 instead of x4, so the discrepance is even a bit more off (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

I can only assume that some (a lot, actually) optimizations had to be made in the code that calculates the drain rate (for ALL the monsters in the database ! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) ).

And the discrepancies are just the total effect of the introduced errors/roundings for the sake of processing speed.

Almost fully forged my defensive stats on phases and cottons. Doesn't seem to make any survival difference in GF.
66.3% physical mitigation
66.7% magical mitigation
61.3% evade chance with featherweight shard on staff
21.1% parry chance
34.3% cast speed bonus

Still my holy mage starts to spark after 300 rounds occasionally(with all the scroll of course),
need scroll of life to sustain my spirit after 500 rounds,
spark every several rounds after 600 rounds. This is where I usually stop.
I wonder how some holy mage are doing in deep GF, and how they can finish a complete 1000 rounds.

If I ever got bored with my holy set, I'm again gonna start playing my dark set.

My personal schtick is that I only use peerless equips. Since I don't care about doing anything more than the occasional IW, I'm not worried about the optimal build. But I will buy peerless radiant freyr. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The hunger and morale bars have been talking to long to load in the monster lab lately. I've been having split second freak outs just to discover my monsters are fine.

It's at least one year (perhaps even more) the it works like this: you enter the correct username and fail to enter the correct pw, next try you have to pass the captcha.

It's the usal standard way of a lot of sites to prevent automatic pw harvesting with bruteforce tries.

I agree with using it to stop bruteforce attacks, but far as I recall I never had an incorrect password problem, though I was using a Tor browser to get around a Starbucks filter. Maybe that triggered it?
