Well consider that an ad system is not implemented at all for certain gallery areas, nor can it ever be implemented for various reason that I won't get into.

So using HentaiVerse for the purpose of letting plebs use GP/Credits to download images & galleries is actually quite ingenious. Plus it's a decent time killer for when I'm bored. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Dunno about you, but I see quite a big amount of players who either run H@H or donated quite a huge amount of cash around here.

You can't deny though, that HV is not a necessity
in terms of having a system with donations, bounties, advertisements etc.

People don't just buy stars or adopt servers for fun. They need their haths and credits to have a purpose, and HV exactly solves that problem. I know for sure if there were no HV, I would be using some ass written scripts to download from EH and some other ass written script to load all images instead of the MPV.

You could put the download link to each gallery behind an ad popup
or ad video similar to video on demand websites,
this would probably lead to a way bigger yield for the website.

You know most people use AdBlock right? According to my experience, with intrusive ads, people either turn to another alternative or use some drastic methods to get rid of them, which the admin, in turn, has to implement something to counter them and make the site worse.
You know what is the fastest way to get rid of users from your site? Use shit tons of ads and use an Adblock blocker. The people who stay are usually the ones who never donate or bring money to the site. I mean, there is a reason why some people use bad websites to get stuff for free even though the sites suck.

TL;DR: HV encourages people to donate/adopt servers. Intrusive advertisements as an alternative to HV is a bad idea.

Congrats! As long as you are pleased with magnificent items, the chances of getting anything good are pretty good. If you want legendary, shrining is not your best bet.

Just to make sure, but you aren't mixing Light and Heavy armor in the same set, are you?

It was with ticket prices around 300 C, so total spent (by all participants) was between 40 and 50 M

Since no participant can have more then 10% tickets, anestimation of 4-5 M seems a good one, but

Lotteries are a decently reliable way of getting peerless equipment that you want. At least compared to all the other ways.

Fed monsters to pl 1478, and now 7500 packs left to achieve my goal.

An update on my morale drain rate tests -

After 5 weeks, it looks like the morale drain rate scaling starts at 250, is linear, and the 2x point is at a monster level of around 580. This fits in nicely with this post.

Almost, but not quite. It looks to be between 579 and 580, which didn't quite make sense.

I'll probably make a 250 and a 580 monster soon, to see if their morale drain stays in sync.

I made a 250 and a 1240 monster (250 + 3 x 330, for 4x morale drain rate) a couple of months ago. The morale drop sometimes stays in sync, but it's not consistent.

There are times when it takes exactly 12 hours for a morale drop on the 250 monster, and 48 hours for a morale drop on the 1240 monster. Frequently, however, there is a slight delay, maybe 1 to 4 minutes on the 250 monster. The delay on the 1240 monster has been the sum of the delays for the 250 monster over the same time period, plus frequently a little more. At last check, the morale drain rate for the 1240 monster was almost 4.01x instead of 4x.

So, my guess is that the morale drain rate starts changing after 250, and it's supposed to increase by a factor of 1 every 330 levels (although it's probably capped), but whatever is causing the slight lag makes the drain rate increase a little better. I can't be positive without knowing what causes the inconsistency, but it's close enough for me.
