Pretty much only Peerless 2H have some value. All the rest is worthless if it isn't at least ethereal and ADB>90%.

Like I have almost 72% crit rate and heartseeker on at all times and it still doesn't feel like I crit ~80% of the time. I dunno.

1H:
41.1% crit chance, plus Heartseeker brings it to 47.0%
Looking at the monsterbation stats from my most recent run: crits / (hits - counters) = 6445/(33021-19042) = 46.1%
A little lower than expected, but pretty close.

Mage:
44.3% crit chance, plus Arcane Focus brings it to 49.9%
From my most recent DWD run, crits/hits = 3250/7525 = 43.2%
That's much lower than expected. Maybe Arcane Focus doesn't work the way I think it does?
I did the Eternal Darkness arena without using Arcane Focus to check, 2126/5426 = 39.2% crits.
So Arcane Focus is increasing my crit chance, but the base is lower for some reason?
I have 0 interference, so that shouldn't be affecting it. Maybe monsterbation isn't recording something correctly?

The effects are layered. I'm tired repeating that kind of things.
To expand the logic behind the calculation, the probability that a hit becomes a crit is the complement of the probability that everry successive layer failed to turn the hit into a crit. And it is easy to calculate the probability that every equipment (layer) failed to turn the hit into a crit.

39.2% crit chance + 10% Crit Chance (Arcane Focus), considering there is zero interference:
(1-0.392)*(1-0.10) = 0.608*0.90 = 0.5472% chance to miss = 45.28% total crit chance
Certainly not 39.2% + 10%.

It is explained fairly well in the wiki.

So don't count on Arcane Focus to boost your crit chance big time. Only high individual crit chances (high crit chance forging and high INT+WIS) does.

The same logic is applied for the melee (1H) crit chance BTW.

Sorry, I may not have explained the numbers in my previous post very well.
What I meant is, my stats show a magical crit chance of 44.3%

So with Arcane Focus, I calculate that my crit chance should be 1-(1-.443)*(1-.1) = 49.9%

But what I have observed when playing is that only 43.2% of my hits were critical hits, while using Arcane Focus.
While not using Arcane Focus, I observed only 39.2% crits.

Are you sure you're not forgetting something?
I wouldn't be surprised that you're forgetting things like monsters evading your spells, since you don't have accuracy>200%.

The monsters don't seem to be evading any of my spells.

Which is weird, since I only have 195.4% accuracy. I don't know how much evade the average monster has, but let's assume 10% (If I'm understanding the wiki formulas correctly, a maxed out monster would have 19%, while the schoolgirls have around 7.5%). After 7k hits that would be around 0.1 * (1 - 0.954) * 7000 = 32 evades.
Yet my last 3 runs of DWD have had 0 misses (before that I was getting around 10, I forget what my accuracy was then).

Maybe I broke my monsterbation when I made some change to it? I'm like 95% certain my changes shouldn't have affected this. Just to make sure, I did a random encounter with a different armor set, so my accuracy was only 132.8%

That one does show misses, so I assume the miss numbers are correct.

I'll make a more formal post sometime about my brief experiences so far after becoming a rich gold star user, but when it comes to WTB Hath has anyone had their request fulfilled quickly and in bulk? I'm blown away there's some users with piles of hath willing to sell if the price is right.
