Well, i also have a word for this. Profiteering. I mean i am not completly against any price rise. I mean there not long ago, really cheap. But when it rises like this, it wont take long before the price for one GS reached the point i did pay alltogether to get five of them, and that is just a bad joke.

and bounties
Yeah? Well, even if i would want to, i couldnt do even a single bounty for this whole year. And i would assume, i am not alone with this.

QUOTE(Drksrpnt @ Jun 27 2019, 13:14) *

I'm glad I bought a Gold Star when I did, the prices now are insane.

Same.
I only regret not keeping my BTC for some months though, with last year's exchange, my GS was worth around 4000$ (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

(or even the leftover I exchanged for a 2$ donation 1 month later I donated my 100$...that alone was worth almost 100$ when BTC price peaked :S)

QUOTE(Uncle Stu @ Jun 27 2019, 15:45) *

100M huh? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) Am i the only one who is actually completly confused by those prices? I mean people who would even by a GS with credits most propably dont have a easy way of making all those credits in the first place. I mean 100M? Damned that is a shit-tone of credits even for me, so how is someone with even less income assumed to get them? Wouldnt that take years and years of just pilling credits up? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Yeah.

And the excuse most sellers are using about BTC prices makes no sense.
A GS is always worth 100$ of BTC...how many BTC are needed to make 100$ does not matter (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
And if you hoard, that's a problem of yours anyway.

Especially when you hoard monopoly money without having a place to cash it back reliably (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

QUOTE(Basara Nekki @ Jun 27 2019, 16:26) *

Official statement: I gave up buying GS. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) This is no longer part of my future plans. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) I refuse to pay more than 50m for one. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

50m? I'm not going beyond GS until they get back to 30m (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

But that makes no sense, if someone had allready bought some BTC just waiting to trade them for credits aka GS, increasing prices would actually mean they could trade more credits, because these BTC would be worth MORE and not less. So in the end it is no excuse, not even a cheap one, it is just a lie. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

Stu... E-H updates to reflect the increasing price of BTC. If they bought 1 BTC for 100 dollars, then the value of BTC goes up to 200 dollars, the 100 dollars they spent is now worth 2 gold stars, rather than 1.

Of course, the price of BTC changing makes absolutely no difference to people who are only buying it to exchange into GS within the moment, but for people who held a lot of BTC beforehand, they are suddenly a lot richer, and can afford to buy more gold stars... so therefore, there's a higher supply of GS on the market and the price can go down (to compete with other sellers, and to reach more buyers).

But it does not matter how E-H does updates it, because you CANT trade those BTC in your E-H wallet.

Hm. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Did you even read what i did answer to? Because it was about GS seller to say "BTC prices increase so now you have to pay more". Hm, unless I did missunderstand it and did just understand it that way, because i actually remember some people wroting that to explain increasing prices a few years ago. There's a tendency, even when you agree with everything a person said, you offered your opinion because something is not quite right. The one you're replied to now think he's wrong or something, and proceed to argue.

Misunderstanding ensues.

Don't worry, I suffer from that too every once in a while. I just stop picking every little thing. To put it bluntly, none what you (Stu, Jug, lestion) said is wrong. The context just expanded a bit sideway.

That's a good point to keep yourself from, but it's also bad one if you want to discuss something with adequate people who can give you more insight. For example sometimes you don't get any feedback even when "feedbacker" has huge need for it, but still can't operate this way and gets himself in trouble. And since forums are all about discussions it's okay as long as you keep yourself from harassing someone without a reason (or doing it in a wrong way in general). You can even call it entertainment (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I don't know why I write this since almost everyone knows it, but just had sudden urge to express it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

It's the same for btc: prices rises - hoarders are happy and want to spend extra, price falls - saving mode

Roughly the temperature in my apartment rn. And it's almost 3 AM (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
Air conditioner? What? At my home we do not even know what that is.

Btw about bitcoin when I mentioned hoarders, I mean people that buy BTC to keep them in their online wallet.
Those are the ones asking for more credits when their already bought BTC lose value...since they would have to spend more BTC to make the same donation, but those BTC were exchanged at a higher price, they bloat the GS price.

The fun thing about this is that they do not do the opposite when the BTC price goes up.
So time by time, every time the BTC goes down a little, the GS price raises.
Then the BTC goes up a little, and the GS prices stays the same.
And so on (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

If the thought ever crosses your mind that it would be a good idea to switch to holy mage, check super's auction. Dude, those radiants aren't even near-peerless! If I would want to go holy mage, I would want at least similar equip as I have now in Dark. That would mean:
staff - impossible to get, but let's say 150m + 25m forging?
cap - 60m?
robe - 80m?
Pants - 80m?
gloves - 50m?
shoes - 50m?
forging phases - 150m to start getting somewhere

The thought did cross my mind, you know. I am curious how the effect of breached defence is. But I would have to start saving for like 700m or so. No, this is not going to happen....

Random thought that just crossed my mind. I'm wondering how come a lot of players reach Lvl300 without ever dropping a single figurine, while I drop at least one every 1-2 weeks myself, without even playing PFFEST.
