Why do I feel that this is directed at me?

I just feel like it's a big waste seeing so many artifacts at the Bazaar. Especially how most of my offerings give out stat boosts.

There are so many things wrong with that. Your average user can totally assemble an entire suit of Magnificent Plate Armor. The rest of us peons will just have to make do with less mitigation and half our proficiency.

I know I'm not a prime example of a high level player, but I consider myself a pretty solid middle ground. I have yet to find a single exquisite piece of equipment of any kind, much less magnificent.

Just for the sake of avoiding bitter feelings.. the higher qualities should be reserved for useful stuff. I.e. no cotton or leather...

I use to get an exquisite most of the time when doing an BT-IW in my exquisite mace. But most of my exquisite armor drops have been exquisite cotten cap of warding (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) I've had 4-5 of them drop. I don't think I've ever had an exquisite heavy armor drop and can only dream of a magnificent drop.

The real challange is to find one that is actually useful.

Well, that or have special attributes that made them worthwhile. Going back to Diablo II (I know I know I keep bringing it back up, but I like hat game) a high grade piece of generally shity equipment might have a useful modifier not otherwise available (ie you legendary cotton cap might gain a +20% hp mod, or decrease mana costs by 10%).


I think the first step though is increasing the drop rate of exquisite/magnificent/legendary items.

And only one of those was a confirmed drop, from BT Trio, which was subsequently quality nerfed when it was changed to a 100% drop rate (lol.) All the rest were from the special shrine trophies.

1 magnificent drop in like EVER that is really depressing to know. I think asking for like 1/XX000 chance in getting one isnt asking for too much, and ya i consider a "special" trophy not a real drop. If you balance stuff based on from ppl getting a whole SET of magnificent then you should actually make it possible for it to drop, and yes i know in theory its possible but it is not really......

Let's see...that's almost a 1/70,000 chance to get one.
Assuming we're playing so relentlessly that we can get 200 equipments per day.
we shill need almost a year to get a drop.

And assuming hito's true, we should have better luck waiting for the special shrines than waiting for a drop.

I'm not trying to say that it's wrong to have such a low drop rate for magnificent equipments.
Something that's so powerful simply deserves it.
But i have to agree with cmal that you're using the wrong equipment set for calculation.
Maybe using exquisite equipment set is a better idea? At least we CAN get them with some hope.

I guess I got really lucky that my one exquisite drop was this.

Mathematically insignificant. The point being, while such a set pretty much maxes *all* stats, it would be quite possible to find a full set with high physical mitigations at the expense of other stats.

i am afraid to see the intensity nerf about EDB gear again in next patch.

new EDB gear is much powerful beyond my imagination whatever that rating is removal it's still deadly

if a player take so many effort to accomplish one set of new Surtr or Mjolnir
