What would you have done with a PELS anyway? AFAIK, nobody even plans on playing it. ... save for me, thought my issue is bringing mine to OP5B4.

I'm bad at math, but i think you should consider the diminishing return at high base damage, like beyond 11k or so. Butcher is good for weapon with high damage & if the overal set has low damage, like shade. Fatality might be better for power set.

You're forgetting that 2H's ability is +30 base damage, unlike 1H's which is +50. Furthermore, a 2H has way more ADB than a 1H. In other words, 2H's base power relies much more on the weapon.
So if anything, the remark about using Fatality would rather apply to 1H more than 2H. Especially when it comes to rapiers played with a full power of slaughter set.

So when it comes to a Longsword+power of protection set, Butcher is pretty much the obvious choice... after Overpower.

I was comparing to light, not other style. But right.

Offhand factor for niten is 0.5, not 0.8. I tested by switching my wakizashi from balance to slaughter one. The damage changed from 8492 to 8672, instead of 8770-ish if it's 0.8. Damage change from pab could be irrelevant.

Edit: Indeed i could have tested it by equpping/unequipping my offhand, but i don't want to count the delta through pab.

I would rather spend 100m+ for a very good Holy gear. But I no longer have any passion in mining HV or running H@H. It is painful comparing such investment with reward.

To make matters worse, the value of various items, especially Energy Drink, has fallen over time. So it's getting harder and harder to collect credits. Unfortunately most of the old barons are inactive, and many of those (non-barons) who also helped inflate the market also stopped playing (and some were banned). (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
