+6 on PABs and +16 on Resistances with the perk.

15->16 and 12->13 give like 0.1 less morale/credit based on my calculation, but I neglected it since 0.1 difference is more or less within the error range. (i.e. happy pills may cost more than 1k, crystals less than 2c)

Every set is a hassle to collect, but considerably better clear time for arena is relatably easily achieved with ~10m budget

Start by looking for the easiest element for you (mb you have some equipment or prof?), get nice staff and look for charged or radiant pieces.

Monsterbation is already designed with mage play style in mind. Press 1-2-3, then hover your spell of choice.
I run this regex "charged[\w\s]+(freyr|elementalist)" on WTS every other day. It's not like I have the credit, but it gives me idea from which level mage play started to open up. It's 400. No secret. The gears are almost all lvl 500.

It's a sure-fire way to die. That's called Imperil to death.
However cautious you can be, there will always be a moment when you get carried away and press the keys too fast.

Yes you can.
You can't use anything related to exchanging mail/items with other players.
Anything else is okay.

You can try 1h-mage style. Its very cheap, its very safe and you can get idea what it is to play imperil mage. With 1-2 millions credits set (+ small bonuses from perks) i could finish PFfest in 90 minutes (no scrolls or anything like that). For sure full mage can do that faster, but with completely different budget. You can spend like 100-300k to get some basic stuff and look how it goes.

dark/holy mage guys, do you feel the need to keep on suffused aether all the time?

One thing I dislike about my transition from elec to dark is significantly bigger mana consumption. The only place I do not need mana conservation consistently is SG arenas and that's it. For normal arenas, if I don't get enough mana gems I have to pop an elixir lmao...

For my part I need both and I don't like that.
That's a major reason why I'm going to play 3+2 instead of 4+1: the higher prof will lower the cost of Ragnarok, on top of being able to brute force non-imperiled monsters.

Sometimes I leave one monster and spank it with staff for mana potion cooldown lmao.
