Did some IW on a staff:
pen5 spel3 ann1. I think I'll keep it! I want to play with lots of firepower, so I can probably do without that last spelweaver. 4 full forged radiants, and high crit chance on staff.... this might actually work better than pen5spel4!

I've sort of had a similar thinking, that mixing the right 3rd potency might be beneficial (or minimally hurtful) for some melee weapons, too. It's way more clear on staffs though since you are balancing offense versus defense.
Is Annihilator preferred to Archmage? On 1H most people slightly prefer Butcher over Fatality, could be equal (or reversed) on other melee styles.

Tried Dwd with different holy sets
Interesting results:
3 plain phases+2 cotton=2650 turns
3 plain phases+1 radiant+1 cotton=2560t
3 plain phases+ 2 radiant=2650 t
Prof factor respectively: 0.86, 0.57, 0.32
I got resisted like crap.

There have been lots of WTB for stars for a while now, and the average prices of gold star have risen to 55m. The star sellers finally dried up. I am tapped out myself, I feel I have spent enough for now. In the most extreme scenario, people will have to learn how to buy their own stars with bitcoin, and as more people do this, new star sellers will be born eventually.
It's just my guess, but I think most star buying/selling activity comes from WTB, followed by secret deals in the dark shady places (word of mouth, etc) and WTS is least common. Enough of each though.
