I wish I could go back in time to when I start playing HV, and teaching my old self the best advice I could think off from years playing it.

don't play it, translate those bounties instead, it's easier money for the doggie bag.

And to Cockatrice, Giant Panda and Fire Fox. God feels like ages since i have seen them the last time. I actually had to look them up in the Monster List. Btw i still wonder why there are not in the wiki, i mean they are a integral part of them game. And i wonder why there is this gap between ID32 and ID 1008, are they just empty placeholder for 10bo in case he needs them, or did the first 1k of player monsters in this game just vanished. So if one would like to fix IW, and to improve the market for gear without making all current gear obsolete, how about this:
- Sacrifice gear, of at least same quality (PXP) and as a reward you can choose the next potency
- So for shrining 10 good gears you are certain of perfect IW

That would certainly boost demand, I'd say. What do you guys think?

Needless to say of course, that naturally, designing HV is none of my business.

some ideas

1) hath perk - 5 (or more) amnesia shards reset not all but 1 choosen potency

2) hath perk - you can choose wanted potency, but when you get potency level it's still random, and if you get unwanted potency it's not added and pxp reset to previous level
example
equip 0/300 pxp level 0
i choose jug. clear IW, get 320 PXP and jug
equip 320/690 pxp level 1 jug
i choose jug. clear IW, get 320 PXP and windproof
equip 300/690 pxp level 1 jug
and etc

anyway that choosing gonna be cost something
amnesia shards or soul fragments or both
or same equip but lower quality (example: Legendary Charged Cotton Shoes of Elementalist needs Magnificent Charged Cotton Shoes of Elementalist)

That's a good idea. It's much better than other wishes to just "fix" IW and not have to pay something for it. This could use refinement though because if it remains as suggested people will just sacrifice leathers, axes, etc.

to prevent that only leathers and axes are sacrificed, there should be a restriction that only the same kind of equip can be sacrificed. Imagine wanting perfect IW on a PHOH: that would then require 10 peerless oak staves! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Could be a bit much, okay. But still, it would make less perfect gear valuable again.

PHOH gonna needs LHOH x 9, auctions will be exploded
LHOL gonna needs MHOH x 9 -> high level mags starts be usefull

I already said before something along the lines of sacrificing gears for upgrading it to the next quality level
something like to get a mag to leg, you require 20 mags of the same kind 1H/2H/Staff/Cloth/Leather/Metal or to upgrade a legendary to peerless it requires 100 legs, so at least this way trash legendaries at least get some value as upgrading fodder, or using hundreds or even thousands of low quality gear

dunno about making PHOH, but i just want somethin about IW that feels more fair than spend weeks to get Capacitor 5 + Juggernaut 4 and get Windproof for last potency and start all over again

Very true. That would change the game dynamics, creating a (even) bigger difference in clear speed between the few hath barons and the rest. However, other types of play style would become more attractive.
