Was hath always at 4k or did it just recently break 4k? I don't know if I'm seeing things or not.

I think somehow the auction is good for players to list their low quality equip and ask for sale, but the page layout is not good enough... Not to mention the rules are not that easy to read (or for someone just want to buy cheap equip and scan the major rules quickly), the equip list are not easy to glance which equip you maybe interested (because of different color). The idea of listing bulk equip with price is good I think, but the equip list will be very long and really need to be utilized, I don't think different kinds of color (more than ~5) are good for reading.

People need time to familiaize with this auction layout, but imho following Super's, Saki's and decondelite's auction template is better. As the majority players use these auction and it is easy for them to understand this one too. Otherwise even I have read the auction rules, I will forget about it after few weeks and I need to familiarize with it again (as many people may not access this auction frequently for low quality equip or very few valuable equip).

I think that I hate him to no end. Do I need to explain why?

Buyer/seller-wise, I can easily imagine that the buyers are glad for obtaining stuff at massacred prices, and that as a seller I certainly wouldn't send him anything due to that very reason.

What are those serious things? The only stuff I have seen from him is trying to resell gear for a higher price which while Im not fond of, it shouldnt be enough reason for a permaban from auctions.

If you want to know what might get you banned from the forum: read the forum rules and the HV forum rules. There is no other way to get into trouble than to break the forum rules.

as i already told to another user who pmed me, public reasons will be fully disclosed when it will be needed as an example. for now be happy to know that nobody is in the same boat as him (as far as we know), the mentioned user had (has) a long list of infractions pending (hinted here and there more than once, btw), administration aknowledged it and this left us with a certain discretion about what to do.
this is the solution we came up with, and no other mods opposed to it.

also, this costed us a bunch of patrolling work and whatnot, so this is why we're not exactly that happy about it.

This has happened to me many times. My guess is that it's 2-3 strong attacks in the span of a couple turns that trigger spirit shield and drain your spirit enough for one very strong attack to kill you. Very frustrating to be at round 800 and doing just fine, then out of nowhere you're dead. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I've also read somewhere that if your health ends in a 1 or 6 spark won't work properly, but I don't know if there's any truth to that

True when you have Stronger Spirit maxed out.

It makes any heavy hit 20% of your maximum hp. Having 1 or 6 on the unit digit of your hp will leave you exactly 1hp after taking 5 maximum damage in the same instance from 100%, making you unprotected by SoL.
