REs have become horribly lagged for two months straight on an unburdened cable connection and ultimate-minimal browser / unburdened Linux operating system using Gnome 2.0/Mate and nice -20 on HV window. HV is the only window on the browser, no other apps running, load average is below 0.20 at start of RE. I'm using a Threadripper-based system with 32gb RAM and a 1080ti.
Ping is low but web page refresh times are utterly atrocious.
Tried Fresh Meat Arena play today and it was unbearably slow.
What gives?

Legendary Hallowed Oak Staff of HeimdallHonestly I was tilted at the moment when economizer was unlocked at IW8....39 reforges, 52 shards, took me half a day. I wanted penetrator 5, but guess I'm done with it and I'm just gonna accept this (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) the exactly same potencies as my demonic willow though it only took me 4 reforges last time.

I know one who had to reforge 75 times and spend the devil knows how many shards to get the IW he wanted. Imo when you really want something it is worth it. The miserable part is that (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I don't have dark descent. So I have to send to shops where there is dark descent service to reforge, and wait for respond. Otherwise, it would've taken less time since I only need 4 and a half mins each run on average. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) yea, I send to Kadokura and his average respond interval is 3mins. It was fast enough though. And I'm done with it. I don't have the patience to work on IW for days. I prefer to complete it in one day even if it takes 5hrs, 10hrs, doesn't matter. And right now I'm exhausted I just gonna accept this result. I've already spent 85 shards on my katana to get op 5 but 4, I thought it was going to be easy (it was like that with my last 3 weapons) so I soulfused it to make it faster... I'll reforge in a few days

It did feel useless everytime i did reforge. Nothing but wasted time. But when i made it. It was worth every single reforge. It was something i did work really hard for.
