I'm having terrible luck with artifacts atm, nearly 1300 rounds since my last one dropped.... (lvl 28 scavenger and lvl 5 archaeologist)

Well, if your average drop-rate is 1 artifact per 500 rounds then the probability of your case is (499/500)^1300 = 0.074 = 7.4%.
In 1300*14 = 18200 rounds of battle the probability of artifacts drop in every set of 1300 rounds is (1-0.074)^14 = 0.34 = 34%.
So, the probability of artifacts DON'T drop at least in one of 14 sets of 1300 rounds is 1-0.34 = 0.66 = 66%.
And how many rounds have you already played with your current scavenger and archaeologist?

I find it annoying how mazes often appear after I get gems. I usually have to backspace "P" for the maze, except this time, my finger slipped and pressed the key below. -20 Stamina.

Yes. My laptop has a large Enter key below my Backspace key. I forgot about desktop keyboard layouts. I might also forget that most laptops have no Num pad, which my laptop does, which I sometimes use for HV.

you take in 13 godly mana? what do you do each round for spells?

Well.. generally 12 godly mana and 1 godly spirit I take in. Each round it depends... WoT first usually, then most often at least 2 more AOE spells to finish off... Tried ET in later rounds, but more often than not i expend more MP sleeping/weakening/blinding the mobs and healing myself than i get back from ET

If you don't want to use ET then you need to conserve mana as much as you can. When I do BT in the early rounds I'll just cast tier 1 spells. The mana cost is so low and monsters don't hit very hard at the start so I can clear the rounds only using 40 mana vs 80. Later on I'll cast cyclone and then cast chain lightning or WoT. Doing that lets me cast the 2nd spell for half cost. Casting the tier 1 spell takes less time then casting the tier 3 (with haste). I don't get hit as often doing that vs casting WoT first. I like the effect Turbulent Air for its damage I gain when casting my elec spells and that monsters don't hit me as often.

I don't have the slightest clue as to how you make that many credits so fast. That's probably because I've played functionally 0 for the last 9+ish months and don't bother to read the WTS threads...

Hmm... interesting - mind you i don't even have cyclone (maxed out fire/elec and have tier 2+3 of wind/cold), so can't really do that yet. When i hit 200 x-magic should help a bit too

I've never seen any evidence of this, empirical or otherwise. Can anyone else confirm that Tier 1 spells have a lower action time than Tier 3 spells? Do you just have to be insanely high level, thus high Supportive prof for Haste, to see any difference?

I would like to ask a similar question.
I tried casting different spells at the start of turns.
I don't get attacked when i cast aranca focus or spark of life, but half of the monsters attack me when i cast regen II.
So i can assume that the amount of mana used on a particular spell doesn't affect its speed?
And the speed for any spell is pre-determined and fixed?
