Economics is not just difficult, it's complex; I mean it in a scientific way, complex as in "Complexity theory".

That's why most of the really interesting questions in economic science still wait for a commonly accepted explanation, while different "schools of thought" are busy battling to advance their theories.

Edit: power & influence do have a big importance in economics, of course, I'm not denying that in the least. They just don't explain everything.

I believe DFO and BDO both have a variation of this mechanic where your gear could actively be downgraded or break when you try to upgrade. Then there's even less punitive ones like in Diablo II where you put in resources to "re-roll" the runewords or Grand Charms, so forth.

There is so much potential for koreanisation of the 'verse. Why are any of the exp buffs permanent? Why doesn't every mode cost stamina to enter? Of course, energy drinks will have to be completely removed and a stamina-cost-reduction time-limited cash-only buff added in their place. Forge upgrade shattering is only the beginning. Repairing could also have a chance to fail, which costs not only the repair materials, but the permanent loss of one max durability. (Looking at you, mabi (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) ) Of course, a cash item can be used to prevent the loss.

Is warding really that bad of a suffix for power armor? The one I put into super's auction is savage with 79% ADB, but it's warding... another that's savage and protection with 30%ish ADB is going for 500k. I don't get it.

I feel they are equally good but Protections do tend to go for more. The Savage prefix may also be a factor here. I have noticed that it's valued at worthless on low-end gear (elemental defensive prefixes are just as helpful), but it's a premium on high-end offensive gear with Slaughter, Balance, or Shadowdancer suffix.

Maybe the side stats on your Protection piece were better, who knows. Some people look at them. Since your level is kind of high, it will be more random whether or not there exists a buyer of suitable level who wants your equipment.

I have no idea what DFO or BDO are. I hope never to encounter such horrors. If it ever comes to Hentaiverse I will simply stop playing even REs. I've already done well finding other things to do than stare at a mostly text screen refresh itself tediously for a full five percent of a day.

But yeah, permanent gear degradation or destruction is a standard korean mmo feature. If you think that's bad, wait until you find out about gacha!
