Yep. I think so too. Quite funny how its quite opposite to ordinary mage. Cheap full mage wont even work and the more we invest the better it becomes (less cures and so on, especially in pffest). But cheap 1h mage gives already close to its best result and the more we invest the more it becomes useless.

Damn, Peerless Charged Cotton Gloves of the Elementalist. I have a Legendary that I use but never Soulfused, so this lottery would be perfect for me, but I just spent all my credits on a Hath Perk...I've been accumulating 100GP a day in anticipation of something like this, but still 19000 short of my limit to enter in with!

I hope change the Battlecaster Buckler to a Buckler of Barrier (from your Advice) may do something for this Problem, I'll try it next year, If I can get one and still alive.

Nimble waki > Buckler of Barrier otherwise you will have mana issues too. I can clear 1h pfest in just over 10k~ turns with DD V. Adding OFC to your rotation improves clear time significantly.

Thats such way partially for all people. Reason is because mage doesnt have very high damage reduction and when monsters cast their spells then its huge damage. You mostly can only increase intervals between those and get enough time for recovery with something cheaper than elixir.

And speaking about gear. 1h doesnt have very strong scaling. For example, im pretty sure with 50% damage increase you can get 10-11k turns, but advantage of 1h mage is t/s which is much closer to 1h than mage. I was curious why and mostly came to the conclusion its because fight/other actions ratio. We get 4t/s with hovering, but when casting imperils its completely different number. Thats why probably 2 turns for 1h mage is actually 2 battle turns (0,5s for round or 8,3 munutes in whole fest) or even worse, because it makes game less predictable.

UPD. Even looking at all turns we can see 7428 attacks which took probably ~31-41 minute. Thats actually much less than half of all time. And almost 4700 imperils which probably stole almost all remaining. Thats kinda limitation of 1h mage, because we dont have any proper way to reduce such moves.

True, no way to increase counter resist as 1h mage. I tried curse-weaver but prof doesn't generate enough effect on CR. 10b did state a t/s cap or equaliser was in the works.

Its 1.4x turns slower than my non-imperil pfest runs and my normal t/s is slow enough that it doesn't effect it as much (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
