I once slipped up like this, plugged in my USB with shit ton of porn inside and people could see the thumbnails and filenames. Not as bad as the janitors who blasted porn at full power with a school PA system near my house.

no, not from lottery. as as013 mentioned, you may earn credits - to convert into porn, gears, hath... whatever - or as a collateral from shrining precursor artifacts.

quite indirect ways then.

If you add them together sure, but that's not how defenses work.
If you have 20 parry from weapon and 20 for shield (made up numbers) you end up with with 36 parry.
On the other hand 40 parry from weapon are 40 parry.

You get higher combined parry + block from buckler of barrier, in particular if you forge them.
