@RoadShoe That conversation in your sig, it looks very familiar. Is it from a movie? Steven Segal, under siege or something similar?

Iirc the last conversation i remember was from Hitchikers Guide. So i am quite sure this one is too. I mean "a gun of some sort"? That is just so the hitchhikers style. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) I did try once to copy that style. But... well lets say i did learn quite a bit, even when i was not able to converse it in a way i could use at my wörks. This post has been edited by Uncle Stu: Jan 15 2018, 21:46

I've got on hand 2000 SG trophies, 75 Saplings and 30 Noodlies. Not gonna do what I did last time and Shrine them all (though that did get me a 40 million Legendary), but I think I'll just continue building it up until I need to offload them for credits for some big auction purchase. The amusement of an ever-larger credit COD outweighs the immediate gratification I'd get from sending them off to blackjac00 now
...
I've got 2 new PL97 Giants with the exact same Crystal boosts. After 4 more Chaos Tokens one of them will be fully buffed with CTs on all possible aspects at that PL while the other will be bare. Once I come back in a few months it'll be interesting to see what the difference is in Killing Blows/Battles Won between the two.

I wonder if that will work? even blackjac00 will have a limit to his credit balance!

Yeah, i also doubt that you will actually find someone who would pay higher prices as blackjac. And without someone who would buy more, an auction would just not bring as much money as it would bring when you just sell them ether blackjac or someone who is willing to pay the same prices. Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. Arthur Dent and a couple of Lintilla's are stuck behind computer banks being shot at by robots with bad limps. Their feet are the wrong size for their shoes.

Why is everyone too stupid to notice that the word imperator has a female form which is imperatrix? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

Why do i plot every day for hours? Why do i wörk on every little aspect of a story? Why do i rewörk and cut whole chapters just to create a better work in the end, when no one else dont even care about anything and everyone just consumes the stupiest bullshit as if they would be forcefeed. But there are so many of them. In moments like this i really ask myself why i still write when i dont even earn enough money with it to cover my bills without another job, while others who produce just bullshit without any heartblood and without any care about the small details make billions?

It's all about marketing, luck and managing to understand people tastes uncle (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) If you write online too, make a Patreon and market the shit out of yourself.

But of course i dont write online. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) I only work for printmedias. I mean if i would write online as e-books without any publisher. I would not even loose every selfrespect, but also make not even enough money, that it would together with the love of god, wouldnt even cover up the cost for a cup of coffee. I see several Patreons that make >2000€ a month writing online. You have to first start writing a story in recognized english sites, get yourself followers, then open up a patreon and put additional chapters under a paywall, while still publishing them for free later. It just werkz™

I? Writing in english? Me? I? Are we really talking about me? That wouldnt ever happen. I am allready happy i can english good enough to communicate here a level above just making grunts. But i total lack the deeper knowledge about english i would actually need to write in this language. Also i dont just want money, if that would be my goal i would make much more contract wörks and write just a part from storys of others. But i want to write my storys. And i want them printed and readed. And not for free in the internet. What people get for free, they dont actually respect, because they feel like it is worth what they did pay for. When they didnt pay anything, it isnt worth anything. Also i have no idea how i could get even a single follower. Sounds a lot like twitter.

Well yeah, for writing online english is pretty necessary. Anyway, for getting a following, i saw it mostly go like this: write chapters that aren't too short often, make the story engaging, write it in a place were a lot of people pass, and people will flock to it. After you can publish the completed books on amazon too. It is respectable, imho. Like this dude: [ www.patreon.com] https://www.patreon.com/Wildbow

The wins make up for the losses, and things that bring in big bucks also tend to cost nearly-as-big bucks. I think the saying goes "it takes ten years before an author can makes sales on a book." Physical copies today are practically collector's items, so if you don't want to go online and sell the hard copy later, you're making things considerably more difficult for yourself. Also the publisher's cut is much larger compared to digital sales. It's time to embrace the new era (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

service communication: Uncle Stu's net is fucked up again. if you directly wrote/addressed him, you may need to wait a bit to have an answer.
