Bucklers of Barrier have less interference, less burden, and more block, so there's not much reason to choose Kite if a player is at sufficient level for equip availability. Bucklers can also be of Battlecaster (if you're willing to sacrifice block%), which some might like to try.

There's a reason that even Legendary Kite Shields often can't even be sold for 50k. They're almost exclusively junk, except at very low levels when a Legendary anything is rare.

I've tried DW Mage before 0.82, with my old Gears:
Legendary Shocking Rapier of the Battlecaster
Legendary Shocking Wakizashi of the Battlecaster
it don't make much more Damage but really take much more Damage than 1H Mage, maybe it changes today.

aye. currently Kites don't have that much of a place. on the other hand, if Barrier suffix still existed we would have an option to Forces - same block, same PABs, higher BUR, lower ITR, chance for Reinforced prefix... would be nice, yep.
