QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Nov 10 2017, 23:56) I wouldn't try reloading the original tab, just in case the connection starts working in time; I'd just send more requests and hope that one of them gets through
Yes, that is what I thought about too. Thanks (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) QUOTE(chjj30 @ Nov 11 2017, 00:11) I don't konw the real Speed, but with 25 Euro pro Month you can only get: 300 MB High-Speed Internet with 3G-Net pro Month x Minuten free all Nets Phone Call and y free SMS pro Month, and x+y must be limited by 300. If it were you, will you pay 25 Euro pro Month for those?
Wait. For 25 Euro per month I am getting 300 MB. That 300 MB is bandwidth (how fast the network is, which I doubt), or it is a mobile traffic itself (how many files I can download per month)? If it is latter, then something is horribly wrong. My operator - TELE2 - provides me: 1. 8 GB of traffic on 4G network per month. In nighttime (01:00 - 06:00 traffic is free). Free traffic on popular web messengers and social webs: vk.com, mail.ru, OK.ru, rambler.ru, Facebook, Twitter and Telegram. 2. 200 free SMS per month 3. 300 free minutes from my TELE2 to any other operators (we totally have four in Russia - TELE2, Megaphone, MTS, Beeline). And free minutes from my TELE2 to recipient's TELE2. This is most expensive tariff in TELE2's line, not the most expensive among all operators. // Forgot, and my unused traffic, sms and minutes from current month are shifting to next month up to three months. So, technically, my limits are not limited to one month, but rather to three. This post has been edited by f4tal: Nov 10 2017, 23:40

QUOTE(chjj30 @ Nov 10 2017, 12:13) Does your Friend want to use O2?
I think he already has O2, and he's about ready to sue them. (In my opinion, probably worse, but being online and all.....) He's pretty upset about it. He can't seem to get any bandwidth at all. I shouldn't have placed it here, I've been told by him... because he doesn't have the bandwidth to get here. He asked for an online pic storage, but the only one I have is work related. I can't venture there for it would show me in my splendid and well chosen professional suit and tie. I hate splendid and well chosen suits and ties.

Not the Speed, but the later one, 300 MB Files. QUOTE(RoadShoe @ Nov 11 2017, 05:59) I think he already has O2, and he's about ready to sue them. (In my opinion, probably worse, but being online and all.....)

If someone insists to use O2's Mobile Service, I will also recommend the Prepaid Cards from O2, but not the one with a Contract, never.

This has been going on for him for about 10 days. I think he wants to get as far away from using O2 as he possibly can once his contract is up. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

QUOTE(reality_marble) at night ppl are sleeping and not clogging your internets ? ┐(︶▽︶)┌ It's the next day now and I still have the speed boost, so I'm guessing it's a permanent upgrade, but it might be a while before I ever figure out what caused this. It might be a little slower during the day, but it's nothing compared to the huge boost. I guess I'll try to see what my turns/second is like on my other faster PC with chrome and different internet service. It was always 2~3 turns/second from before (estimate, not timed) so maybe now it is 4~9 turns/second? Fat chance but who knows.

To the best of my knowledge, these are probably the best things you can try if you aren't already: -Stop running VPN/proxy if you're doing so -With Monsterbation, disable basically most of the crap that refreshes every time a turn passes. This includes the battle log updates. I don't even keep individual round drop logs, just my total arena drops log. -In your settings, you can modify the font in HV. A lot of fonts will take slightly less time to load than the normal font, and smaller font of course takes less time than larger font. I don't know what the best font to use is? I use Veranda size 8. -Switching browsers might help. I think somebody said Chrome is faster than FF. -Try alt.hentaiverse.org once and see if that works. -If you're using WiFi and you have access to the modem, hook up an actual ethernet cable to your modem instead.

Could you check if you maybe have 2 versions of monsterbation running at the same time? that will make it look like you have very high turn per second, while actually you don't as you do stuff double and attack dead monsters. Not something you want to do for a longer time because you might get into trouble. Two consecutive monsterbations could be perceived as botting.

I haven't updated my monsterbation yet from the original install (planning to soon) and I've been playing with mouse hover off. I use the num keys when I feel like attacking quicker. I'm pretty sure my game just magically got two or three times faster. My pings to alt.hentaiverse.org (200 ms) and e-hentai.org (60 ms) are the same as before.
I haven't been using the monsterbation turns/second readouts to measure, only my feelings. Just now I tried checking the readout for the first time and it said 1.872 turns/second. This is way better than my previous 0.7 turns/second max.
I've never used vpn. And I used to get the same 0.7 turns/second with or without monsterbation installed up until today. I didn't notice firefox auto-update or anything. Never used wireless. Never tried playing directly to alt.hentaiverse.org before. (Maybe I should have tried before, maybe it would have been fast like this)

What do you think about this situation:
I bought a legendary charged phase pants of fenrir for 10m on September 26th (see my sig). Now, November 11, a couple of big-spenders is fighting over a similar legendary charged phase pants of fenrir (see Super's auction). I don't want the shop-owner to feel angry about the deal, but I surely can't afford the prices that are bid now.
Would you advice me to compensate the shop-owner for getting the item too cheap? A couple of millions or so? Or would you say that this is just the unpredictable market?

such cases are absolutely not unheard of - ie: it wasn't the first time and it won't be the last.
of course the seller may think "oh, damn!" but as you pointed out, it's market's unpredictability in general and auction fever in particular. at the time of the deal the price was considered acceptable from both sides, so...
btw, i asked for a similar situation that occurred to me a while ago (seller said a price, i bought and then price check thread said another thing). i was positive about returning the item if needed, but a few members of the community (seller included) said it wasn't needed, so...
not explicitly meant to you, but as a rule of thumb to base further judgements i'd say that unless ill intentions are implied, the seller cannot advance refund request, and it's up to buyer's own sensitivity what to do. note that this may include (but not be limited to) habitual/intentional reselling behaviors.
your opinion, guys?

Though it's hard to predict how much an item will go for, though 10m for 96%? EDB Charged sounds pretty low. The seller would have likely gotten a buyer even if he had increased the price, though initially offering a bargain will make it very likely that someone will buy it immediately.
Just like in the real world, there's no ethical imperative for one to recompense the other after the fact if both parties were acting in good faith.

It was bought in shop. It's not 95%, but 85% EDB. Still, very nice pants and I probably underpaid. I'll think about it but I can see some compensation to be justified.
(by the way, I do tend to overspend a bit, but I have never asked for refunds.)

Fair market price today is not the same as fair market price tomorrow. There are more factors than just you and your seller. Before I started playing the game, there was one less Cryosite in the market generating demand on gear. Today at auction there are more people with the credits to spend on the gear than before. Also, if I sell an item for too little, it's on me for not learning the value of the item and pricing accordingly. My lack of market knowledge is a handicap I must either eradicate with learning or suffer through reduced income.

QUOTE(Cryosite @ Nov 11 2017, 12:47) Fair market price today is not the same as fair market price tomorrow. Yeah. Gear prices tend to go down over time. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) The other issue is that there aren't enough HV players for the higher-end gears to have a predictably stable sell/auction value. If there were 5x the number of players at each level, for example, sellers wouldn't have to worry about items not selling (or selling for less) because the right people who'd be interested simply aren't online that week.
