Some time ago, I was tempt to try maging just to see how it's like and see if the claim made by me & other have any merit. I had a plan to create new acc purely for maging. Then, Ten started ban tons of dupe acc. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

QUOTE(Tenseigamoon @ Oct 29 2010, 20:27) I'm still playing as I always did and I never sold anything to the other players anyway so I don't care about that. As for training, all I'd been training was AL which seemed to be a waste of credits. Like Boggy, I've been upping my playing these days so I can get to level 270. I've been doing Ring of Blood lately to keep things interesting. And I'm also curious to see what the Chaos tokens do. It reminds me of Butters being Professor Chaos.
Ok, so its still business as usual for most people. Thats a relief. I'll make a guess that Chaos tokens are either for another type of new battle arena being made or they may have some rare reward like artifacts. Tenboro did cut the credit sources to try to "equalize" everyone's income but I wonder if he is trying to come up with some kind of new entertainment or reward to make it still worth my and all the other low level players' while to reach Boggy's level. Conquest is right. There is now no real incentive for me to try to make it to the 200s level when I know I can't earn much more at that level than I am doing now. Btw Tensei if you want to switch to maging I got some elementalist gear and staff if you want. Did you really level up that high with just melee? That is very impressive man! You must have fingers of steel.

Yes, I leveled up this high with just melee and I have my own mage stuff that would probably knock your eyeballs out if you saw it. I just don't want to be a mage. Why should I have to be one anyway to advance in the higher arenas? That's what I don't understand. QUOTE(shiki666 @ Oct 29 2010, 17:49) You must have fingers of steel.
If by that you mean pressing my fingers on the numbers on my keyboard, then yes, I have fingers of steel. Although it makes my neck hurt. This post has been edited by Tenseigamoon: Oct 30 2010, 03:03

That's exactly my thinking, too. I'm only maging in order to maintain mastery. I'm still primarily a melee.

You don't need, cmal already did it, and once I reach l220 I'll clear End of days without staff. Probably without items, but that's not a certain thing. What's certain is that I'm gonna waste a lot of time to clear it. Edit: Ninga'd (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) This post has been edited by cmdct: Oct 30 2010, 03:08

I've heard about that and I'd like to know exactly how he did it. I can't even get to round 100 in EoD with melee. So good luck with that. And in the early days of HV, didn't we not even have equipment? I didn't even play HV at all for a long time in the beginning (except for doing my hourlies). Sometimes I still get the feeling I don't really know how to do it. This post has been edited by Tenseigamoon: Oct 30 2010, 03:16

Anyways here's the linkQUOTE(cmal @ Sep 26 2010, 18:54) It took fucking forever, since I was doing shit damage with just 50% ADM and no Bleed. Spark triggered once. Every other time, it either didn't connect (over 50% Evade and Block) or didn't do enough damage to outright kill me.
Oh, so he did it with evade and block and not with strength. And also a lot of luck.

There's no possible way to beat that many Legendaries with strength as a melee. They're just too strong against physical attacks.

What exactly do you define as fighting with strength as a melee character? DW?

Probably raw damage output?

I do dual wield and I wear heavy armor with a lot of strength and endurance. I think I'd die in two seconds if I wore cloth. QUOTE(cmal @ Oct 29 2010, 19:28) Probably raw damage output?

There's no way. Tanking just doesn't work, absorb and mitigation suck too much ass.

QUOTE(Tenseigamoon @ Oct 29 2010, 22:32) Yeah, I don't know how to play HV. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) More like Tenboro keeps breaking things that were working fine.

You won't, you evade plus you're be a lot faster than monsters. You can make the switch, cloth proficiency will rise fast until half of your level, where you'll see a major difference in battle. Btw what kind of weapons do you use? For max power you should have over +100% attack damage multiplier by now. This post has been edited by cmdct: Oct 30 2010, 12:11

High strength is a bit of a waste with dual wielding. Agi and Dex benefit you more.

Except at our levels we're very close to the speed action cap already, over +90% base hit chance, and +20% crit chance.

Considering you have the DW proficiency capped, at level 200 you'll have the off-hand strike chance capped.
