QUOTE(f4tal @ Oct 24 2017, 15:42) Thanks, Cryosite. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It is not for "education in different country" or "accreditation" purposes, but just for reading. Since my English is awfully bad, I decided to read literature in English to Increase my vocabulary and knowing of grammar. It is better then to just read a lot of books that interest you. Find books on topics you like. Non-fiction as well as fiction. You think your English is bad, but I think it is pretty good. Just practice more, and immerse into it. English is a very difficult language with a lot of "rules, except in this case..." type of memorization. So just read a lot and get used to how everyone uses it, and it will become more familiar to you to use as well. I don't think there exists anywhere a set of books that showcase English used properly/the best. Also, to complicate things further, you have at least four major sources of English: The USA, England, Canada, and Australia. Each has local quirks and disagreements. (Go USA)

I actually never liked to read books. I prefered to watch movies or read comics, but in last three months I started to read various classic pieces of literature and liked them. I don't know maybe I started being old (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) That is why I want to read more world-acclaimed works. I started to read Fahrenheit 451 in original. Have hard times at certain parts with language, but overly things are not as bad as I thought. Don't know can I read more sophisticated works like poems or nonsense literatures like Alice in Wonderland, but for reading a regular prose I have enough (more or less) knowledge. I don't have any preference here - fiction or nor, but I prefer historical works more (set in 18 - early 20 centuries). Thank you. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) QUOTE(Cryosite @ Oct 26 2017, 01:18) English is a very difficult language with a lot of "rules, except in this case..."
Russian is not better. We have too many quirks and too many rules that just don't exist in English. Like depending on the context of the noun its ending may vary. In English it is always "house/houses", but in Russian it may be "дом/дома, дома/домов, дому/домам, домом/домами, доме/домах" - ten variants of same words versus two variants in English. And I haven't mentioned suffixes and prefixes. Made me wanna to play my old PlayStation again. (Not the emulator, the real thing). xD I had a big original version of it with Japanese bios. My father bought it to me from Japan two nonths after it was originally released. It had Japanese syllables in Memory Card screen and I had to wrote in notepad what every words means. Oh the memories (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) Now my love to PlayStation is a little bit different - desembling the emulator's RAM to find enemies stats in Breath of Fire IV game and playing with code to find the way to dummied out secret casino (who thought I would be that type of geek in future? dom, doma, domu? ROMANES EUNT DOMUSLOL. Seriously, the quirks is actually fine little challenge once you understand the basic rule. Dative, Accusative, Nominative, and so on are word class that again and again exist in many language.

While we are on the subject, is anyone here good at reversing checksums or encryption algorithms? It is necessary to do save/memory editing in many games today such as on Xbox 360 or PS3. Each game may have its own algorithm. I am fairly good at editing data better than most people, but I am an amateur at hash sums and encryption.
Sadly, so are many other people. So in many games I play I am the only cheating guy! Wahaha! But there are some games where another guy is the only cheating guy because only he figured out the encryption or checksum. And some games where no one can figure out the checksum.
(Usually, when I speak of cheat it is only to make naked girl or in swimsuit. Not mean like to kill the other guy. But sometimes it can...)

The point of encryption is to be hard to break for people (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) You might try all known techniques from other games. If none works, I'm afraid you have a very dim chance of success at reverse engineering the game. Also, as far as I know, checksum most, if not all, of the time is a destructive process, which means you lose data after calculating checksum for some piece of data so it doesn't really make sense to reverse engine checksum. It's like trying to perfectly create food back from poop (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) If you can, I guess the best choice is brute force. I could be wrong though, I'm not really into cryptography or stuff like these.

It's like trying to perfectly create food back from poop (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I think he simply wants to edit saves? So he needs the hash/checksum that the game uses to validate the save data. No idea how to help here though (it's already incredibly annoying to generate a valid hash when you know how it's validated). P.S. Don't use sci-fi books to learn english (or any type of book that may contain weird terminology or neologisms), it's an incredibly painful process. It's much easier now with ebook readers (really, reading english books in a kindle is a breeze, integrated dictionary and wikipedia are awesome) but I still wouldn't recommend it.

At first i wanted to make a joke about Rodolfo, but now i am just confused about that word italians, what is it suppose to mean? Is it the english version of romanes? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) And now i noticed something that explains so much. Il Popolo della Libertà did arisen partial of Alleanza Nazionale that arisen of Movimento Sociale Italiano that was a ugly child of the Italian Social Republic. And president of Il Popola della liberta was... yes you are all right. Silvio Berlusconi. Damned, no wonder he remind me so much of Andrea. I don't get why you need to know "Roma esige la vittoria dai suoi generali ed oggi è chiaramente una vittoria per noi", but whatever, here you go (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) QUOTE(Uncle Stu @ Oct 27 2017, 13:55) Silvio Berlusconi.

QUOTE(End Of All Hope @ Oct 27 2017, 14:23) Let's not talk about this, thanks (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) i second this as well. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) till a certain point. mind you, SB is not as Andrea-ish as you can think. Spoiler text - Highlight to read... AN was one of the many fragments of MSI. likely the biggest one. at a certain point AN basically flew into PDL, which was (and somehow still is) the biggest right-wing party here in italy - and when its then-leader (Gianfranco Fini) wanted to take part with SB, those who were his most trusted followers has already switched their colors, so he was basically alone. some of them followers parted ways later on, when SB fell due to his trials and founded minor parties. another party which has/had on-and-off relations with SB and PDL is the one led by Alessandra Mussolini, who in fact is Andrea's granddaughter and tends to react really, really bad when someone implies her grandfather didn't do only good things. btw, if we want to make a little history corner is fine by me, but i'd like for people not to express their political beliefs. otherwise, croissants are a good thread as well, yep. i tend to prefer the sweet ones, personally: (IMG:[ www.bessiebakes.com] http://www.bessiebakes.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/croissants-featured-image-800.jpg)
