QUOTE Isn't spamming, or to be precise, one-word-reply, the sole reason for existence of that subforum? I thought same at first, but then I found the "Free Speech Zone" sub-subforum... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) QUOTE There isn't so much chatting going on in there though... it's like many people like to use it as low-effort Facebook. (eg weather thread: go in there and post "sunny" every single day. why....) Maybe they want to restore their "post a message - get an extra EXP"-bonus? And coincidentally they all think that you need post every day at least one message, or more messages you would post - the more EXP you would get... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Or they just want to get as many posts as possible - like a competition of some sort. This post has been edited by f4tal: Sep 29 2017, 12:47

QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Sep 29 2017, 12:40) Most other threads aren't much better. There isn't so much chatting going on in there though... it's like many people like to use it as low-effort Facebook. (eg weather thread: go in there and post "sunny" every single day. why....)
heh, what to say? i know, but they are still there so they are approved (or at least tolerated) by global mods. well, not exactly my cup of tea but feel free to speak about this, of course. QUOTE(f4tal @ Sep 29 2017, 12:42) I thought same at first, but then I found the "Free Speech Zone" sub-subforum... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) which can be considered (at best) an exacerbation of the above mentioned section. but again, it's there (and both of them are quite older than HV section, for those interested), so... QUOTE(f4tal @ Sep 29 2017, 12:42) Maybe they want to restore their "post a message - get an extra EXP"-bonus?

QUOTE tolerated Correct word here. On other hand, well, it is not like these messages deal too many headache or problems - just one-liners (one-worders?). As long as it is not spam-attack, flame, trolling of some offensive content - why should any moderator bother? I don't miss the "one handed one handed one handed one handed one handed" posted every single day, while I'm at it.

QUOTE I don't miss the "one handed one handed one handed one handed one handed" posted every single day, while I'm at it. Well, it was quite annoying, but nothing bad overall, in my opinion. Pointless is a good word here. On other hand, it would bother me if said message would appear every single hour. But as long as once per day - I don't care that much (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I thought I disliked SJWs until I saw some posts and my hate doesn't amount that much (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

a bit out of topic, but you guys are quite active at this time when I should sleep I wanted to play dead rising on pc, and it turns out that I need 64 bit windows, after watching a youtube video it said I just have to install it twice, but I have reformat, my question is, do I have to reformat the whole drive or just the partition, I'd ask in the tech forum but who knows when they'll answer (if someone does)

So you have a 32-bit installation? I think you can just install a new 64-bit Windows over the old 32-bit. You can be adventurous and not format your partition or format it during installation. I have never seen anyone format the whole drive when they install Windows, usually only 1 partition is needed.

Please do ask in tech forum. Otherwise the tech forum may get jealous? Seriously, it's good to keep some HV focus, I think.

just the partition. but be careful about saving datas. checking twice or thrice isn't that bad of a thing. but yep, keeping this thread focused on HV isn't a bad thing. This post has been edited by Scremaz: Sep 29 2017, 13:38

let's see it this way: we know a bit of things, tech section is lurked by specialists. they'll be able to support you better than us (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) also, they are quite quick to answer, and that section is frequently patrolled by a couple global mods. one of the safest around. It was the recent thread where the topic creator was giving away money to people who posted music links. It was a fun topic and there were no problems. I guess he just closed the thread some time after his contest was over. But now I can't take down some of my links like I originally planned. The reasons I want to remove some of them vary.

QUOTE Yeah, but we're in the pony/random thread and I don't see that many ponies However it is placed in HentaiVerse subforum (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) On other hand, you, guys, spent a full day in "What's the last thing you've (not) accomplished? " speaking about routers, modems and such, so... Jokes apart, I always thought good-meaningful offtop, as long as does not deal any harm to anyone, is a good thing. We should follow some guidelines, that was stated in the very first post or in thread's name, but such following should not be strict. We are not the government here with bureaucrat apparatus and lots of laws, after all, we are just some folks at porn-site. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

For us, it is not a problem. But for newbies it might be difficult to understand how the forum works? Not too strict is okay. And for all frequent posters, maybe we could all try to keep it a bit on topic?

i always close giveaways and auctions after a certain while has passed. that's a standard thing.
