Well, in many languages there are memorization path. For example, in japanese people use 2 alphabets for native/foreign words, and use hieroglyphs just to make that all stuff without spacing a bit more recognizable. One problem less, but one more, because such signs are more or less random, so now you have to memorize at least few thousands of hieroglyphs and they also have native/foreign pronounce. Part of sentence just for example:

眞子さまは淡いグリーンのワンピース
much easier to recognize this way
眞子-さま......は......淡い......グリーン......の......ワンピース
that whole thing means female Mako and light green dress.

The system of sexes/pronouns we are using in Russian just so random and weird that I doubt any foreigners may master it without, say, living in Russia and speaking in Russian for five years.
No just thing about it.

• a finger (палец) is male ("he");
• an arm (рука) is female ("she");
• a shoulder (плечо) is neutral ("it");
• an eye (глаз) is male ("he");
• an eyebrow (бровь) is female ("she");
• an eyelid (веко) is neutral ("it"),etc

And do not try to finder pattern. It is all about memorization.

Italian has only male and female, no neuter.
And it's a bit easier also to recognize male and female for things.
Not always, but mostly the last letter gives away the gender.

In german both is female. And we have all three, but that doesnt help you in another language. Because it doesnt fit all the time. Finger is male, also is arm, shoulder is female, eye is neutral, eyebrow female and eyelid neutral.
