The Toplists EXP rewards are strictly for gallery uploads.
Users whose galleries rank in the top 25 for the day are rewarded passively during the period of time in which their galleries hold those ranks.

There will not be such a big gain for you already at level 500.

The only benefit is that you can get additional proficiency bonuses.

yes, there are few pages that can be categorized as "mere curiosity only". there's also a way-more-useful one which lists all the active staffers, if it's for that.
either way, i think that are other ones which need more immediate attention, but if one wants to update it, who am i to spoil his/her/its fun?

Nope, tagging and renaming too. But only if you rank in the monthly toplist. In that case you get the exp for all the month.

i still have to do it after the patch, so i cannot be sure.

though when you see you have to keep all your buffs on and curing under a certain threshold, FSM is just the biggest punch bag around.
