By the way, why exactly game uses default/custom font at first place? Can game just serve all inner text via plain CSS with few styling properties? Why game can't provide, say, "Arial" as default text and basta? I am not arguing, just curious why game uses such quirk font-system? =)

The differences are just rendering issues, back when there was a downloadable font option, if you download the font and open it in the font view it literally said it's name was "Starcraft" and it copyright was "© 2000 Neale Davidson"

As far as I remember - default font is not a font in pure sense, it is a pictograph - every single letter and number of StarCraft font were cut and saved as small images. Then via CSS properties these images are using to create words. So words you are seeing with default font are not words, but rather pictures (or more correctly - game uses same sheet with all letters and numbers, and by displaying various parts of such sheet via top/bottom/left/right properties game creates the words).

If player have selected to use custom font from his local machine - then game would show words ~exactly~ as they should be as binary data, represented by UTF-8 charset.

That's why default-StarCraft-font and custom-StarCraft-font are two different things - this is like comparing text and graphics based on it - of course graphics would have weird spaces in between and margin/padding errors, while pure font would render with no such issues. On other hand graphics may have its own advantages too - less rendering issues on various screen sizes

Also that is why custom-font ~should~ have better performance, because browser takes less time to construct a word, DOM has less elements in it, less style adjusted on, and so on.

My conclusion would be: how do you even get to 500 in a year?

I've been playing fairly regularly for nearly 5 months, 4 of which have been with a gold star and about 3 have been with maxed Adept Learner + XP perks. And I don't have even 1/10 of the XP required for max level (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

That depends. For example, you can get x2 exp perks and x2 with max stamina (its already x4). Up to 50% if placed in toplist up to x13. And surely there are stars above gold which gives up to x8. And also different awards up to another x10.

Basically, in theory you can get in 2*2*13*4(from gold to catgirl7)*10 = ~2000 times more exp.

Speaking of the custom fonts, which is the recommended one at the moment? I have been using Verdana with font-size 8 for forever (I think it was the recommended one years ago, maybe some script even required a custom font), but I noticed that it cuts off some supportive spells in the Skillbook Spells section when I was grinding some proficiencies and unlocked new spells.

To me the default font just doesn't look right after all these years, but it seems to show all spells in Skillbook. It has this problem at the moment though:
