The thing here is that, it should not.
Mage should be struggling for Mana since they cast spell for attack.. they should drain their Mana pots like carzy, but they don't.
Mage should have to pick their spell with care, but it doesn't seem to be the case.
Mage should be weak, but it's irreverent since the mobs can't even fight back.
You have to admit that somethings not right here... (IMG:[

-That's because of 2nd winds, magic regen and mana gems, let's finish them (IMG:[

-They do.
-Not weaker than "melee". their defence should be like a piece of paper, when they got hit, and that's what happens.

It is not right that they are balanced? (IMG:[

Incidentally, try playing at a higher difficulty where you can't kill every enemy in one trun and tell me maging is so much better.
If the "balanced" you said means that both don't have to use items, then, like I said.. something isn't right here...
This:
QUOTE(Boggyb @ Oct 29 2010, 20:51)

If the challenge is arenas, and that is the only reasonable challenge to compare, both melee and mage characters can clear arenas without items through 200 and the Trio and the Tree.
If the damage from monsters wouldn't increase per level in GrindFest, both styles could clear whatever number of rounds you wanted without spending
any item.
The only reason why this only applies to mages now, is because of the unique ability of AoE spells killing all monsters at same time (on normal), if domino strikes had 100% chance of trigger, and it could affect all monsters in the field, he would see the same thing. Of course that would make 2H/niten to be the strongest style in the game...
