Yeah, I think the general consensus is that Hellfests are no longer worth it.

With the new monster health scaling, it takes far more time than before. And with the 20% drop penalty for Artifacts and Tokens in Hellfests, you're honestly better off playing IWBTH or PFUDOR at this point. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I will never understand why tenboro did such a bad thing to us... even to go to such lengths of reducing the drop rate of even 20%

I still don't really know whether or not I like the changes to difficulties. Around level 350 the change to hp in PFUDOR is significant, monsters die way faster so all SG arenas + T&T are doable in reasonable timeframe. However, I've tried normal and hard as well, and they at least feel slower than earlier in comparison - could be just me getting used to faster PF. Changing difficulty doesn't seem to matter that much anymore, so if I'm gonna spend time playing, it feels like there is only one option worth the time: PF. It simply has the best xp gains, drop rates and is not that slow compared to the other difficulties anymore.

I guess the point was to encourage playing higher difficulties. Difficulty option was made a lot less meaningful now that the monsters scale so much with level - that also discourages me to level up actually. In a way I don't want to level up just to slow down my clearspeed.

I thought i did. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Just use an ED in battle over the battle inventory. Or did this dont work? I dont have Long Gone Before Daylight, so of course i dont know. Wait, are you mocking me? I just tried to help. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

No, I'm not mocking you at all. I've lost stamina on this.

So you're saying that if I do the stamina thing in battle, it'll bypass the candy and give me my 20.

OK, it's sinking in on how... I go to my item page in battle and directly use a ED. Right?
I'll try it today and see if it works. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Edit: That worked. I was glued on the "use restorative".
My poor feeble brain wasn't thinking about using an item in battle.

Thanks Uncle!

But why? I mean for your work didnt you need a degree or something? I sure as sure dont have such bollocks. Dont even need to, people just call me when their freezer gets hot or the tv get fuzzy. Oh how much i love it to got on the roof when it is raining and shit just because someone wants to see (here fill in a generic stupid tv show that is not worth the energy it need to push the button to goose the tv). Yup risking my life and health on a slippery rooftop feels so much worth it with all the money i get for this. Which means nearly none. I guess i will go back to make some slicey dicey time in HV to earn a fraction of the credits everyone else make. Yeah totaly worth it and such. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

The general effect differs across player level.

For players at 500, lower difficulties are significantly more time-consuming than before, and PFUDOR is the same as before. For players 400 and below, PFUDOR and IWBTH is notably easier than before.

Yeah, I get the impression that pf is easier, or at least sickentide's script works well (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)
but the nightmare mode is somewhat harder, not just monsters's hp but they also hurt me badly about 3 times in this run Nevermind that, I wasn't using protection spell/scrolls apparently (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

110 rounds/nightmare/ holy mage
Don't know if this is worse than my previous times, maybe 2~3 minutes more, I don't know, wish I saved some records, but this time I used imperil against SG thanks to sickentides shift function, so it should've been faster

Attached Image
125 rounds/nightmare holy mage
Got distracted for a couple minutes, still, don't know if it's worse, but it SHOULD have been faster because imperil (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

it's a function of monsterbation script. you can find it in sickentide sig. check that the three options around line 70 are set on "true" and you'll have that format.

Well, that does me in, because I'm scared of heights. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

My job did require the Electrical Engineering degree, but it is far from glamorous.
I have an office, and I spend maybe 15 hours in a 60 hour work week in it.
My time is spent sitting on the concrete floor in front of control panels using FactoryTalk.
I'm trying to squeeze 4 seconds out of some obscure process.
Or.. worse.. I'm trying to debug a non-existent glitch cause someone on the floor screwed up and blamed it on equipment.

I've spent most of the last 18 months cutting out cardboard mock-ups and crawling around on my knees on concrete across 450,000 square feet.
I'm using a white Paint pen, chalk tape, Large squares, etc.,.. on my knees.. drawing out processes before the equipment I ordered in those 15 hours shows up.
I stress continuously that some piece of equipment.. won't work as I planned, and I'll catch hell for spending a huge chunk of cash on a complete unusable loss.
Has it happened? Yes... it happens to the best of us.

Nothing glamorous with my job.

Maybe those EEs working at NASA or the like. But then, that's a lie, isn't it?
The glamorous jobs at NASA are done by Engineers with Doctorate degrees.
And if you're an Engineer with a Doctorate degree, then you're not an Engineer anymore.
You're a scientist.

I don't know one engineer... and we have a tendency to hang out with each other..
But I don't know one engineer with a glamorous job.

And there's Engineers on this site from all over the world.
I guarantee they'll agree with me. Cause it's the same everywhere. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Regardless... I love my job.
Because the only thing worse than my job.... is not having my job. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

No, worse than your job, would be my job. Because except from the slippery roof, there is also the part with the care of the elderly and yes i mean this literally. You wouldnt beliefe how many old people sabotage their own tv, just to get a visit from a workman. To have someone they can talk with. Or look after the white ware (elektrical stuff in kitchens) from rich people. It is really disgusting to see how little rich people care about their stuff. And not even to mention some old wiring i got to see. Cable made of aluminium with a isolation made of cloth. Pre-war stuff at its best.

Or the fuse that was just a nail. Oh, i always remind that one, gives me still nightmares. Or that time when someone really did use a coax as as a normal electrical cable. Sometimes i just cant beliefe why those houses didnt burned down long ago.

And of course not to forget to build photovoltaics. Some customers are so greedy for the money that sometimes i work on the roof of a four-storied house in the night with searchlights so i can barely see something. Just because if i wouldnt the whole installation would need another day to be finished, and that would be money they dont get.

Well at least today most people own flatscreen TVs. So when they need to be fixed i dont need to carry that many weight. So hurray for the invention of flatscreen.

Exactly! And that is so true, for there's a huge amount of people who will just stare at something not working.

Without you, they'll just keep staring. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I shouldn't gloat on people like that though. If it wasn't for sickentide, I'd be left clicking my rear off right now.
Oh sure... I'd try, and place my cursor on a monster.

But then I'd just stare at it not doing anything.

I was watching Michael Moore's "Where to invade next"
The title of the documentary is making fun of the Bush jr. years of continuous war from the U.S.
Which, I'm not a fan of Bush jr. so I like Michael Moore... cause he's not a fan either.
But the documentary is actually about work conditions throughout the world.
It's an extremely good documentary.

Anyway, it started with Italy.
And it's amazing the benefit packages Italians get.
All the vacation time, and the set work hours. (U.S. will work salary at minimum 50 hour weeks.. minimum)
Italy took the prize of having the best work conditions and benefit packages in the entire world.

So I'm starting to think that Italians, once they land a job, they never ever leave it.
Hence... it's difficult to land a job, and when you do... you never ever leave it, and continue the cycle.
Is that true? Is the job market in Italy locked up?

Nope (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)
It's both difficult to get and keep.

And conditions aren't that good.
Yeah, vacations (not always, usually you're forced to take them in specific months *coughs* august *coughs* ) and work hours (40 or 48, 8/day for 5 or 6 days), but the rest is quite bad (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

I could tell you storys you wouldnt even believe. I mean i cant barly believe myself how often i drive to a customer, because the tv is "broken" and in nearly 30% of the time the tv is just not plugged in, in another 20% of the time it is just the SCART-cable or another cable that is loose. So in nearly half of the time people wouldnt even net to call someone and pay for the visit if they just would check every cable.

(IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) Not that i would get paid for the overtime, and normaly i would have to use up those overtime. But how could that be possible when grandma Rosi need her freezer working, grandpa Wilhelm want to watch scoccer in tv and mother Steffi need someone who fix her washing machine, that of course has to be one from Miele. To cover the screws that keep the wire still.
It's not really necessary, since usually you turn off the electicity before opening the socket.
But let's say you need to turn the power back on after opening it, and then handle the socket, to use a mains tester to check if there is current in the live.
Would you touch this thingy without some duct tape around the screws part?

Visual example:
(IMG:[www.bricolageonline.net] http://www.bricolageonline.net/immagini/elettricita/presa_esterna_grande1.jpg)
Would you handle the dark grey piece with the power on?
I've always seen, from my father and grandfather (all the electrical installation in our houses...they made themselves), using a bit of tape around that part. A little out to cover the part where the wires enter too.

note: I did not find an appropriate pic for the socket I have in my house with the correct place in plain view.

What sick (censored) of a (censored) did teach you that you just usually turn off the electricity? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) You turn allways off the electricity. Let me repeat the important part, allways. There is absolutly no reason to work with a socket without turn off the electricity and there is also not a single reason to turn it on again while you are working on a socket. Also i have never seen, nor even heard about tape around the screws inside a socket. A mains tester? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) I really, really, really, wish they would finaly ban those things. Use a multimeter. If you dont have one, you really shouldnt play around with the electrical installation. If you dont know how to use a multimeter, you really shouldnt play around with the eletrical installation. If you dont even know what a multimeter is, you really really shouldnt play around with the electrical installation. You could not just kill youself, but also burn the house with person you love and care about inside to the ground. I mean, if you really would need duct tape to cover up any bare cables, then you did something wrong and risk lifes. Duct tape, not even electrical tape, is a replacement for the real isolation. And now i will allways be worry about you get killed from a cable fire. As if uncle didnt had enough worrys allready. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

What (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

Uncle, the tape I'm talking about is the one used also to wrap it around uncovered parts of wires. Electrical wires (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

I looked up and it translates to "duct tape"...we call it "nastro isolante"

Also, about the mains tester, how would you burn an entire house by touching a wire with a screwdriver? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)
