Does someone uses/used duolingo? I just noticed there's a japanese course now (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
although it seems it's on a beta stage

I think it has long time already. Ive tested many ways to learn words and think memrise is the best. Its not perfect (ive seen much better services for different language pairs), but summary that gives better result.

For example, there are few ways:
-Youtube songs and so on, once you see video like this, then you can think its rly good option.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3won-7W3Js
But actually its rare case. Usually its just collection of words without any option for fast check how you remember later. But good side it can come with quite solid visual+audio flow, thus much easier to make... kinda understanding of word, because its not just simple translation, but also emotions about that and so on. As example, if you recall word like "night" then usually at least you also think about something dark or maybe even some important situation. Maybe you went late to bed yesterday, so its also case.
-Cards and stuff, for me its just way too outdated. We can actually use digital version of that, but still its usually something you have to polish anyway (make dictionaries and so on). Ive used paper cards for kata/hana and that was actually quite fast learning result, but i still had to spend time for printing, cutting and so on.
-And surely there are sites like memrise where ppl already made some similar stuff. There are many collections of words for many cases, comments sorted by rate how you can remember it. Also good option for recalling or checking if you remember all.
-The best way to learn ive seen was site where ppl can learn any interesting stuff they want (like music, cinema, books and so on) and just click on words they dont know or sentences and get translation. Surely, such words also are marked and later you can train translation in many ways. Simple direct translate, audio, cards, different sprint/quiz stuff, crossword, talking with other ppl and so on. So its both good content which you like and any way to train from basic to entertainment.

So at the end i split whole language in 2 parts:
-Vocabulary (if you wanna read books, then you dont even need to know audio part in languages like japanese where ppl cant read word without knowing it).
-And rules how you use that. For example, such stuff like belonging (in english its ` and in japanese its の).

It's fairly new (at least on android)

I already tried learning by reading some pdfs but it always bores me out after a couple of weeks, meanwhile by youtube, I can't, I HAVE TO like the teacher, if not I won't listen to the video and start thinking other stuff, until now I haven't found a youtuber that makes me wanna listen.
From the pdfs from before I learned the hiragana and katakana and a bit of grammar but when I tried to learn kanji it just seemed abysmallically (is that a word?) hard (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif)
I think I just recognize about 50 kanjis, and even then I can't remember the kun-yomi and on-yomi
I was thinking about duolingo more like a stepping stone for getting more and more invested in learning (specially kanjis), the part that I like duolingo the most is that you have keep coming back every day to keep your streak, I hope that motivates me a bit more.
Let's see first how the french course pays off (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

And how does it REMIND you? I'm not learnng languages because of love, but by having a taste of adulthood when I was looking for jobs some months ago, it made me think my CV could improve if I added a couple languages more, already have the english part :yay: I'm latino ese

Not, it wasnt love. It was friendship. Something that let uncle stu act even stupider. And now everytime is read or hear something in russian memories. Like a smegging war flashback. And uncle is also no native english speaker. But that should be a suprise to no one.

This part reminds me.

I mean remember that Р is R, П is P and C is S was quite simple. Я as ya was allready something. But dont get Ш and Щ mixed up was hell. And how to pronounce this little fucker here Ы was just a nightmare.

I was actually reading it a bit, can't expect a high rating of a depressing comic about terrorism in a porn site, can it?
And btw thanks, I was actually intending to use your galleries as practice when my reading skills get better
