Frankly, I don't really appreciate seeing the "productivity" of some people around there, that consists in various questionable motives and uses the server power that I am contributing to. And PAY for. So yeah I prefer to ignore those parts of the forums, but unfortunately sometimes the reality forces itself to me.
Talking about the EH galleries, its been a long time since I use it. It feels outdated design-wise and functionality-wise.
Considering the talents we have here, I sometimes wonder why TenB don't let people contribute code to EH or HV.

If you have enough server power, you could open a new site (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) More alternatives are always good.

Because writing 50 lines of scripts it's completely different than writing a whole site UI. Because being able to write beautiful UIs is whole different beast than writing great UXs. Because even open source software needs some PMs, you can't just take people and let them code, it never worked, and coordinating people it's one the most shittiest work possible, you get all the crap and none of the good thing. And so on.
Also i trust Tenboro more than I would trust other users since he has already proven himself. No need to risk having lower quality code just to get fancier UIs sooner.

friendly warning: albeit at times their decisions may seem a bit "strange", those guys are doing one hell of a work, and what all of us can see is only the tip of the iceberg. i can read a bit more discussions, but i'm only at two tips - and still, it brings me a headache to try and understand a little part of them. i'm not saying they are perfect though. once again, if you think they are wrong, i invite you to let your voice be heard in sections where it could actually make the difference.

They can be quite reasonable at the Vigilante. But one tip: don't go into a repeating discussion there. No is no.

because you may say whatever you want about him, but surely tenboro is one hell of a coder. i doubt many other people could keep his pace. however, there was a time when another user was on the same level of tenboro, afaik.

The light brown background isnt much relaxing, when you have set the forum to the fusion skin and stay too long, before going to the galeries. Just saying.

I did try alt several times before and checked it just now and it goes blank, too. I've done everything to speed up my browser and I've checked for shit running in the background on my computer and it's just that damn page going blank between turns that's the annoying problem.
Don't know what to do, I can put up with the choppiness on the forum, that's nothing new, but I kind of want to get back into playing some HV. So others are having the same issues. I thought it was just me. I've had problems with HV in the past with lag but nothing like this. It's really unbearable.
