Is it just me or there used to be *ehem* more threads in the HV chat?

The rest were near-exclusively spam or trash threads IMO. Good riddance.

Personally I think the equipment thread should go too since the legendary equipment thread is more useful.

Don't tempt me. Tenboro tried to get rid of that too (roughly the time in which he posted the thread about spammy threads not being allowed anymore) but part of the community was able to make him change his mind. I still wonder why, since there was a positive faction too. Probably he didn't want to get involved too much.

On a completely unrelated topic, I was wondering:

Why do we allow players to post that they landed a drop superior or exquisite equipments, because that is no news to anyone? Everybody gets those! What would be news, and that would deserve a thread, if you can play without getting any crude/average/superior/exquisite. Now that would be an achievement! The Thread of Miracles. And then Snoflake can declare you Holy after you die, because you performed a miracle in life!

The forum is for communication with other players. There is absolutely no way that sharing an below magnificent drop is interesting to anyone. And if you want to communicate to yourself, there are better ways. Write a diary. Start a blog. Start a Vlog (and become famous!). Mumble to yourself while walking in the streets. Rant against the mirror. If you need more suggestions: Ask the Experts! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Well, it was read-only again about 15 minutes ago, so it seems stuff isn't quite fixed yet. I only commented because it doesn't look like it's a regular thing.

We just received an unexpected response due to not being on the same page which caused attention to shift to the resulting new issue and we were kind of left in limbo after that issue was resolved.

I like looking which thread has more views, this or The Equipment Thread. Few months ago when this one was pretty inactive, The Equipment Thread was very close in views or maybe even a bit ahead (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

Well, most low level players don't get Legendaries to post about, maybe they like to use The Equipment Thread for Power spamming and/or getting the monthly post for EXP boost. Sometimes I also do a search with my monster's names and see if players have had drops from them and posted on the forums about it.

To be honest most Legendaries in the Legendary Equipment Thread are nothing interesting either. At least my Legendaries (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Good thing someone modified the topic description from "Trash Not Allowed" to "Legendary and Peerless gears only", now I don't have to feel so bad about posting my bad Legendaries there (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

I post mine there for secondary logging purposes other than my Legendary Drops Log (a bit more info on there than in my log).

ofc i'm not against low levels posting their things there. but it's a matter of fact that it's only another abused spam thread. people aren't posting there monthly. people were posting there... uh... hourly? they don't even take the effort of writing whatever may resemble a link. then, gianfrix made the 1 post per day rule. well done, imo. but it's still another spam thread. i let open a few of them already. and according to admin: "it was removed because the database was literally choking on such a thread".
