A bit offtop, but yest ive been watching "your name" and caught idea art is very beautiful. Not exactly that animation (thats quite good tho), but in general. If you think about that from side, then its just drawn characters and some plot made by people, right? But it gives alive impression. When we watch its not like we think "its all unrealistic", it looks very natural. Makes us feel different emotions and if its rly good then it can suck us in deep in whole different world and leave strong impression. It can be book, animation or something else, maybe movie or even painting, sculpture. Im sure any person knows few examples of those. And its just made by some desire and work of person to move other people.
Thats why i think art is beautiful.

So you liked the movie? I did too (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I'm glad I went to cinema to see it. I wasn't thinking it was worth spending 8,40€. But it was.

best part is that you can consider many things "art". so, even certain kinds of porn may be "art" (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) slight OT: is there any problems with IRC? i cannot seem to log in... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

QUOTE(Stulpen @ May 5 2017, 14:46) Look hows talking. The man from the country where Merda d'artista did come from. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) obviously there's a limit to everything. but if someone wants to sink bucks into a can of poop, well - it's not the artist's fault. the best part is that you cannot actually be sure of their content (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) please let's return speaking about proper art though (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Either way (since nec seemed quite serious about this), what i wanted to say is that even something that is usually looked down like H drawings can actually show examples of good look, nice technique and in certain cases even of an actual plot with a bunch of themes on that.

What make you think i wasnt? It was just my usual argument to show why art is probably the hardest concept to define. But what makes you think that good look and nice technique, or a good plot would be enough to say something is art? I did write a few stories over the years, and put so much effort into some of them, that i better never calculate the hourly earnings i got. But still, i would never call any of them art, or myself an artist.

I wasnt rly serious, more like thoughts about such topic. Surely even in hentai there is difference between something like oni-chichi which mostly aim at money and something like bible black. Thats completely different approach to details and work. Hard to say about something very "catching" in such area, but definitely those two have different ways. And its still kinda impressive how hentai as a whole works. Thats not real life porno, its just drawn/rendered stuff. Still many ppl can prefer that, because there is sense in that. QUOTE(End Of All Hope @ May 5 2017, 15:21) So you liked the movie?

In France, 2017, there are still many areas where Internet is an utter shit : 27 turns (0.19 t/s)00 h 02 m 19 s 327,387 exp0 credits1 rounds
Even back when we had 56k, the quality of the connection was better.

Phone is the only thing left that works rather well here. And I meant PHONE, as telephone line, not 4G. Though the speed of 4G is often faster than local Internet, which is an utter insult.
