QUOTE(Scremaz @ Mar 21 2017, 17:36) btw, people: how would a centralized thread for trading easter items and everyone will exchange with whoever wants, whatever wants sound?
Should be good. People can just edit their post there if they're done exchanging stuff too

I remember you told me there was nothing different for exchanging a set at the shrine rather than regular artifacts, so the thread just be for collecting reasons, right?

when the event is ended, yep. artifacts act as regular artifacts - except for the fact they grant 1 Hath. iirc it was due to balance the slightly higher chance of giving a PAB, but don't quote me on that. when the event is still ongoing, on top of standard rewards there's the fact that they concur to award high-tier trophies. QUOTE(yami_zetsu @ Mar 21 2017, 15:11) so the thread just be for collecting reasons, right?
like all easters there will be people rushing to complete their sets - and there's nothing wrong with that. there will be people wanting to collect surplus sets, and still nothing wrong. what's (quite) annoying is the amount of WTB threads that are opened and will be left for mods to be cleaned after that. every now and then i delete a result page of them (twenty or so?) and i only reached the start of 2016. i esteem gold stars and throwaway easter ones to be a fair amount of them, so...

I was noticing that too. I agree, I think a single thread to organize sellers and buyers would be more elegant, that way people don't have so much of an incentive to create or bump topics only containing easter items. --- On another topic, does anyone have a big collection of spirit draughts they aren't using and would like to donate to a good cause? I give away small packs to newbies for free (they're the ones who need them most and barely have credits, after all) but I barely play nowadays so I've run out. (I don't sell them for profit)

that was the idea, yep. most likely i'll let people post their own requests and as i said, whoever wants will trade with whoever wants. nothing too different from the wtb section. maybe at a certain point i'll start to delete fulfilled requests, whatever. still better than having to hunt for dozens of threads...

Spirit Draughts? Those old things? They've been in my closet for months. Sending you 9,000 of them. Give me a few minutes to drag them out and blow the dust off of em'.

QUOTE(cmos @ Mar 15 2017, 23:51) IIRC it was said that the number of gifts is a float and gets rounded when you check the lab, right? Can you lose gifts due to rounding if you check the lab too often? Is it safe to check several times or better just once per day?
This has made me paranoid despite the reply by Tenboro (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) I used to open Monster Lab after pretty much every battle as a habit, now I'm trying not to click it all the time. I have noticed that I seem to get more gifts when I'm away from home and only check Lab once a day. I thought it was just observation bias and that I would get the same amount anyway, now I'm not sure anymore. I wonder if you would get any gifts if you refreshed Monster Lab every few seconds for couple days. This could be tested with some page refresher (not sure if this counts as a prohibited thing) and checking if material counts have increased later. I still haven't completed my surplus set from last year (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) I probably won't be at home on Easter, going to lose a good opportunity to make profit from the Artifacts (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Making a centralized place for trading doesn't sound like a bad idea, but how would it actually work? Buy and sell offers could easily get lost in a single thread, and finding the best deal might be harder than just going through the WTB topic names and descriptions. Also I think many players would use their old WTB topics for that purpose anyway.

enter keyword > search topic. as easy as that. everyone will trade with the person(s) they prefer, like they usually do. what's really needed is to the cooperation of all users in order to update when they don't need the deal anymore, like they usually do in the WTB section. when only an empty post remains, i'll delete it in order to let posts with an actual content as much in first positions as possible. provided one can actually search things, i cannot really see how much it should differ from the usual way. apart for having way less anarchy than usual, that is. QUOTE(Logii @ Mar 22 2017, 17:17) and finding the best deal might be harder than just going through the WTB topic names and descriptions
once you search within the topic, it's even easier that opening many WTBs. QUOTE(Logii @ Mar 22 2017, 17:17) Also I think many players would use their old WTB topics for that purpose anyway.
which is fine. my goal is to reduce the number of throwaway threads, so if people use their WTBs, all the better. either way, usually varst pops out this time of the year. i'll open the thread a few days prior, and if he'll say "what's this bullshit?", oh well...

wondering is it illegal to create a script that helps you decide which PA should you increase.
with some configuration.
well, you know, either automating things or decision script seems to be illegal. so i'm not sure is that the case when you're trying to increase your PA, and you are lazy to calculate.
