Not that much you earn AP each level. Mostly mage are 400+ also for ppl who get another mage style maybe 450+.
Btw, Deprecating spells I use AP are imperil/silence (actually I don't use silence long time ago lol )

Now that Drain is completely unnecessary, I think training a bonus 160 AP or so is enough. 150 is a bit low for those using Imperil and 170 is more than needed.

Due to cast time, it's likely better just to straight Imperil and use attack spells. Imperil 2-5-8, T3, and cure if you have to. Spending additional time on a round than absolutely necessary results in a negative feedback cycle for mage, which you want to avoid at all costs. Even if you have to use health potions or elixirs every now and then, it's worth it if you can clear in less action time overall.

With AB 190 I'm 13 AP short from using both elec and dark on the same persona. Well, assuming I need dark imperil that is, otherwise I have 13 AP extra. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

i meant picking 1 type to pump AP into (for ex, all points pumped into an elec instead of elec+dark+holy). earlier someone mentioned how you can use 1 persona for maging. i assumed that meant holy+dark+elemental. then they'd just split the persona into corresponding sets for each element. but that's way too demanding AP wise imo

mmmm probably too risky since my gear isn't super awesome. by blanketing mag+slow (2,5,8) my incoming damage drops immensely with weaken on FSM making the followups becomes much smoother since the magnet stops the resist+evade.

it's just me being cute. most mages can probably get by via bruteforcing things like super suggested. naturally they all have much higher forgings than me since i'm basically using 50k legendaries and taht's it (almost)

True. I used to switch to 1h heavy for TT&T only, but with my new LARD I just imperil and spell attack. Never used magnet or silence.
