I have 6 Ability Points and 6 Mastery Points to use.
Once I hit level 445 and raise Regen or 450 for last SP tank, I'll have 10 spare points.

Oh god, i just discovered this:

Ability and Persona
- Every persona has separate AP distribution, ability assignments, and unlocked mastery slots.
- Every persona has separate reset counter (even if a persona is cloned); this allows for free ability resets.
- Every persona shares the same amount of Ability Points and Mastery Points.

Seems like i won't need too many APs (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

yes, didn't you know it? what would've been the point of the whole persona system otherwise? if you wanted more sets there still was the training (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Only used the default persona till now.
I thought the Personas were only for having different PABs allocation (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

PS: I have unlocked 5 Equipment sets slots, i know of Set Collector (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Let's talk about this after you try converting to mage (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)
Elemental mage is as AP intensive as HV can get.

How should i subdivide the Personas Abilities, by the way?
In one goes Mage and its abilities, and in one Melee (all together 1H+2H+DW+Heavy+Light) and its abilities? Or should i subdivide Melee further?

according to my experience, you can safely keep all melees into one persona. maybe you can even group some elements here and there, but pretty much either elemental, holy and dark mage would require a dedicated persona each

One persona for mage profiles is enough.
Each sets can have different ability settings.

yes. i'm only 152 ability boost and i'm actually pretty deficient in ability points. jsut the passives/supportive/depreciating takes up the bulk of my ability points. as for the mage spells i'd have to pick 1 element and that's it

Now that Drain is completely unnecessary, I think training a bonus 160 AP or so is enough. 150 is a bit low for those using Imperil and 170 is more than needed.

I'm at 160 Ability Boost and I think I'm comfortable with APs (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Max'd out all everything I'm using, only need 1 more AP to MAX MagNet and the next upgrades are at lv 445 (regen, req 9 AP) and 450 (sp tank, req 5 AP + soul fire req 15 AP), may have slightly overshot.

def getting by with 150. just less convenient. i try to do the bare minimum so i can pump more creds into the bounties.

ctag you're a holy mage right? i think if you spec in holy or dark you need less AP than if you spec in elemental? i was able to spec holy+dark but taht same amount of AP was only able to spec 1 element for elementalist

Yup, that may be it

Holy mage to completely cap all the Divine abilities needs:

Better Smite: 3 + 5 = 8
Better Banish: 5 + 7 = 12
Better Paradise: 7 + 9 + 12 = 28
Soul Fire: 7 + 10 + 15 = 32
Holy Imperil: 2 + 3 + 5 + 7 + 9 = 26

Total: 106 AP

Whereas a single Element mage:

Element (eg. Conflagration): 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 8 + 10 + 12 = 48
Sorcery: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 15
Elementalism: 2 + 3 + 5 + 7 + 9 = 26
Archmage: 5 + 7 + 9 + 12 + 15 = 48

Total: 137 AP

yep, holy/dark surely requires less APs than elemental. according to this page: https://ehwiki.org/wiki/Abilities a full set of abilities for holy/dark requires 80 APs, 32 of which are for ripened soul/soul fire (plus those eventually required for spirit/ether theft and holy/dark imperil), but still quite far from those required by one element, which goes up to 137, plus 48 for every other element you decide to use with the same persona
