By the way, how come you don't use an Ethereal Estoc? Doesn't all that burden bother you with a Shade Set?

You are keeping the enemies stunned, hence you don't care much about burden.
I also don't use an ethereal one for FDR, even if i stopped using it.

Well i still like my mace more compared to how i like my was ment to be my estoc before i realized normal 2h is a pain to play on PF.

I'm using the mace only to train 2H proficiency after level ups. Usually 1x Flying Spaghetti Monster RoB is enough to get 1.0 with a dark mace. But i can still play PF arenas with mace. Not with the estoc normally.

As for potencies I think butcher/fatality are good since you need all the damage you can get. Whether you need SS or not depends on how many agile pieces you have to reach the target speed. ~32% attack speed for 13 attacks during stun is pretty safe, you can probably lower it a bit for only 12 attacks and it still would be fine. To be honest I'm not sure about the optimal ratio of SS/agile/savage pieces to maximize the damage, it needs more testing.

given that such bonus will stack with haste, i guess that the loss of a couple % ATK speed would be mitigated a bit.
as for agile/savage ratio, well - i don't have an answer either, but i think it's related to the amount of Shadowdancer you can get. btw, Leg Savage of Shadowdancer aren't easy to find, i know something as well (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
also, according to a previous math i did and to wiki's ranges, the effect of a Shadowdancer suffix on the weighted average damage are pretty similar to those from a Savage prefix. basically, it's a compromise between hitting slightly harder, slightly less frequently and hitting slightly weaker yet slightly more frequently.

I sometimes want to try new styles too, but then I remember that I need to IW (and possibly forge) all the new equipment and then grind proficiencies for the new style before I can see how it really performs. I'm too lazy for that (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

IW can be a real bother, but prof of Melee isn't too difficult to get, after all.

I still list them when I get them and they have a decent chance of going for 50k+, but the problem is they're a pretty uncommon type in the first place, in addition to the style being unpopular.

Legendary Katanas of Slaughter can go for 50k or more. Legendary Ethereal (longsword)|(mace)|(estoc) of Slaughter can also go for 50k or more. Everything else never reliably gets bid on. It's nothing personal against 2h weapons, it's just what the market has decided.
